It was such a sad moment for them. I am hoping that one day Michael will be able to get passed it and at least be friends with him again.

I don't know that they will ever be able to in a relationship again though. Michael may never be able to trust him enough again.

It gave them some kind of closure and they needed that moment since he was leaving the Discovery.

I am still hoping that he will be back at some point.
