Wonder if they'll be using the spore drive more if Dilithium is apparently harder to come by in the future. Though it would make sense that other Trill might be able to help with the memories issue.

Paul did seem to volunteer pretty quick to use it again. Surprised Book wasn't more surprised how quick they got to Earth but they are almost 1000 years in the future.

It would make sense to consume less if they can, granted I got no idea how much they normally use distance wise.

That surprised me too considering the mental consequences he suffered from routinely using it previously.

Good point about being able to access the Trill memories might give them some answers.

I imagine a Doctor there would specifically be more knowledgeable about Trill physiology than a Doctor on Earth or on board Discovery, even if she herself is human.

Though I think Paul was able to overcome those effects, I'd have to re-watch older episodes to be sure... I can see them using it more if they need to run from people. I can't imagine them behind 1000 years would help their defenses and ability to attack future vessels, I mean when they went in front of the other vessel it looks like a second shot would have done them in.

I thought the episode OK... I liked the themes of the episodes more

The Unity/ Appreciation dinner reminded me of a Thanksgiving type theme It certainly got dramatic at group dinner.
Even some families will watch a funny or enjoyable movie after their dinner together. I plan on doing that b/c don't like the teams playing the final game in the evening on USA Thanksgiving.

Memories was the overwhelming theme. Sometimes I feel like I have a symbiot because I have a great mermory. It was great that the symbiot let her access all of other other peoples memories including her boyfriend. Some people can close their eyes for less than a minute and locate a specific memory...others say they can't remember what they had for breakfast.

So far we don't have a long term storyline...but one is developing next week and we may even get the main villain introduced next week from the previews...we'll see

Another really good eppy

- Really like the character of Adira and she is a lovely addition to the crew. Aww her backstory…
- I thought Hugh’s scenes in the is eppy were wonderful, one of his best episodes and great scene with Michael. That is one of my fave scenes of the season so far. Like that Hugh was working with Captain Saru in helping the crew, they make a good team . Also Hugh being the person connecting the dots through the storylines was
- I’m glad the one of the trill people had sense to help Adira and she had quite a few people’s memories locked in there..
- at the crew, they are living on a knife’s edge. Poor Saru, his first plan did now go well. I’m glad he got the crew together in the end..
- I completely forgot that the computer has now got an upgrade of sorts…
- Georgiou and her popcorn
- Glad that Stamets apologised to Tilly, and liked Tilly’s plan. The team shouldn’t be arguing
- I’m glad that Detmer finally went to Hugh and told him that she isn’t ok. I wonder what has happened to her. Also glad that her and Stamets made up..

I think this eppy is possibly my fave so far of the season…

Not a lot happened in this episode, but I did enjoy it. Nice to see how the crew are coping or not coping.

The trill not wanting to help them seemed a bit contrived to me.

Some nice Hugh/Sylvia scenes.

I really enjoyed the trip to Trill and Adira's backstory!

I didn't believe that they don't have enough Trill suitable for symbionts though. The burn was a lazy explanation. (We know from DS9 that most Trill are able to carry a symbiont and they only have these strict host selections because they don't have enough symbionts for everyone.) If there had been some sort of chemical warfare that had damaged the Trills' abilities it would have been more believeable. That they were even more short on symbionts than before the burn seemed logical, don't know why the writers even threw the other problem into the mix.

Edit:

Here's the Ready Room btw, but I haven't been able to watch it yet:

- liked Hugh as narrator, the character bringing together the different storylines

- Saru was so diplomatic when telling Stamets that they need an alternative to him for navigation

- @ Hugh telling Michael she's a "responsibility hoarder"

- some of the computer's suggestions to Saru for building crew morale were pretty unique. Recognizing that he needed to do something to unite them was a great way to show how seriously he's taking the leadership position.

- Trill is a gorgeous planet

Agree with you there.

- the group dinner was a really nice idea, even if it didn't go the way Saru hoped.

- Detmer really vented! Hope we'll find out what's up with her next week.

- Georgiou " at least the wind was good"

- Loved Tilly reassuring Saru that the crew appreciated what he was doing, and that he had succeeded in reminding them that they had chosen this path together

- also good to see Paul apologizing to Tilly

- loved the memory quilt idea.

- can't say that I'm a huge Adira fan yet. Maybe she'll grow on me.

Yeah, the group dinner scene was great. I'm trying to remember if Reno was there?
