Didn't think much of this episode, most of it just chatting and not much else, plot is going at a snail pace considering 2 episodes left..

and I thought First Contact was in the movie, not with these 2 Vulcans in the 1950's?

Episode is called 'Mercy' and it was Mercy for me to get to the end of the episode

This show does keep getting sidetracked in strange directions.

I do wish for a bit more action.

All the characters just sitting or standing around and not doing much at all, and telling the audience basically what we already know..

No first contact was in the 50s. Watch ENT carbon creek.

Felt like a filler episode, but liked getting all these character interactions.

Was good to see Q finally meet young Guinan.

Great to see Kore walk out on Soong.

The story of the FBI guy and reference to Carbon Creek was lovely. He'll probably go often to Guinan's bar and chat about aliens, now he was fired.

The scene between Rios and the doctor was cute.

Never watched ENT, just because of the movie it was made a big deal of that that was the first ..

Oh ok, yes in ENT there is an episode about a group of vulcans that crash on earth in the 50s and live for a while in a small town before being saved.

That wasn't an official first contact, but an accident and the Vulcans disguised themselves as humans until they were rescued.

Also with Soong meeting Jarati/Borg Queen, it was emphasised that Soong knows that she is a Borg Queen, how??

Enjoyed the character interactions, not much clue as to Qs Endgame though, did he orchestrate it so the Borg Queen and Soong would work together by giving his 'daughter' her freedom? Not sure why else he would do that unless Q needs her for something.

-- Side note, thought we'd see more of older Guinan in the season and not just the first episode, granted there's a chance to see her again I suppose.
