yes I did...it was good... No Spock yet...but we got a good backstory between young step brother/ young step sister

I thought it was a good premiere

I like the intro of seeing Michael and Sarek/Amanda, and my young Spock was a bit moody wasn't he

Lovely moments between the characters in the episode and also funny moments too.

So Captain Pike is now in command, while I'm sad that Saru is not in charge, I thought he was a really good Captain, I am intrigued to see Pike in charge and also wondering if he has a secret agenda...Also I did like the shout out to 'The Cage' when Pike opened the fortune cookie.

Enjoyed the moments between Sarek and Michael, both have their differences, so to speak, concerning Spock.

I thought the scenes between Tily and Michael were great , both helping each other out and caring for one another..

Aww the scene at the beginning between Tily and Stamets and also Stamets missing Hugh

Wondering what all this signal stuff is about and also where is Spock ?

What kind of captain is this, needs rescuing twice right away Can we just have Saru!

Seems like the story is about Spock?? How weird since he didn't even show so far. As an adult I mean.

LOVED THIS PREMIERE!!! OMG!

I loved Tilly when she was confirming it was Captain Pike and he fakes being in pain and she is like, "I thought I broke a Captain!" LMAO! She cracks me up! ahha!

One Thing Remains

I really enjoyed the premiere. I was disappointed that we didn't get to see Spock in the premiere but I did like learning about some of the backstory of Michael and Spock. I was a little surprised to learn that Spock pretty much wanted nothing to do with Michael when she became a part of his family.

I loved the way that Pike went after Michael to save her when she got separated from the group while they trying to transport back to the Discovery.

I was surprised that Stamets wants to leave Discovery. I never thought he would leave his life's work. But I guess being there without Hugh is just too painful for him I think he will probably change his mind though and end up staying.

It seems like Saru and Pike are going to share command? Pike will lead the Red Angel assignments and Saru will be in charge the rest of the time?

I was kinda dreading the premiere, thinking there was no way they could top season 1, but I really enjoyed it. I can't wait to see the whole season play out.

I liked the first episode, interesting family scenes with Michael, Amanda, Sarek and young Spock.

Does anybody know if "After Trek" will also return for season 2?

Wow, terrific premiere!

Loved Michael's monologue at the beginning.

Enjoyed seeing some of their family life on Vulcan, Also that Michael still reads Alice in Wonderland for comfort. I suppose it's natural that young Spock would resent Michael coming to their famil. Disappointed that we didn't see adult Spock. Looking forward to more about what caused the falling out between Spock and Michael.

Saru refusing to just hand over the command codes was terrific! Also the mention of Lorca. And seeing his threat ganglia come out a few times on the bridge.


The fortune cookie reference to The Cage was a really nice touch.

Disappointed that Stamets is supposedly leaving, but as others have said, I think he'll change his mind. Perhaps he'll realize that the memories of Hugh are more comforting than painful.
