You're welcome. The Michael & Philippa scenes should be interesting.

A very good episode. I still had to look away occasionally from the torture scenes.
The twist at the end of the episode actually made a deal of sense to me. I do like Lorca, but now we find out he's endangered everyone on a revenge quest, and I'm not sure how I feel about that. I loved seeing Saru trying to help Tyler and Stamets this episode. And putting some faith in Tilly. The spores are all dying, that's very bad. I'm still not liking the mirror universe, but it's an interesting way of bringing Philippa back. |
I must say I thought this was one of the strongest eppy's of the season so far..
Great scene between the Emperor and Michael, very much a cat and mouse game which I enjoyed seeing, who was getting the upper hand.. Aww Paul and Hugh  , I'm glad they met again and said a proper goodbye and that Culber helped Paul with his quest :sigh: Glad to see Saru going Commander mode and helping Ash. I do hope that Klingon gets what is coming to her! and Oh my the Lorca twist  didn't not see that coming at all! and I was getting to quite like him too...does he want the Emperor's throne ? |
ok so :jaw_drop:

I don't like the torture scenes of Lorca, or of Voq/Ash.
The scenes between the Emperor and Michael were terrific. Interesting that she was a mother figure to Michael in the AU. @ dinner, and Michael's reaction once she realized what she was eating. Love that Paul and Hugh were reunited and were able to say a proper good-bye to each other. It was nice to see Saru step up and seem comfortable with command. Impressed that he'd go to L'Rell for help in treating Ash. As to Ash - if they're able to restore him to normal, what will they do with him? And where would that leave Voq? And Culber is still dead. The look on Michael's face when she realized that her Lorca is from the AU! Did not see that coming. Also not sure of the Emperor's motivation for helping Burnham get back. Can't imagine that she'd be up to anything good, and there's got to be something in it for her. |
I loved all the scenes between the Emperor and Michael. Even the end when Michael was having her revelation about Lorca while the Emperor was talking. Though, I will admit it was a little weird to learn that Philippa, Gabriel, and Michael were some twisted Terran family...
I skipped through the Klingon/Ash/Saru bits. |

I found it interesting that Saru's threat ganglia didn't react around either Ash or L'Rell

Did Michael pick Mirror!Saru from the line-up? And was she eating him then?
Because ew... |
wow :thud: I did not see that Captain Lorca plot twist coming :jaw_drop:
I just finished the ep and I need time to process but I'll be back later to post my thoughts. Right now I'm still in shock, but man do I love this show. |
very different from other Star Trek shows
|
Okay. Logic tells me it couldn't have been Saru, since Lorca and her left in a shuttle and didn't bring him with them, but he sure looked like him. Ew.
Is it next week yet? "Welcome home, Michael." Ew. Oh, and what supposedly happened with the other Michael? If story is she hunted him around the universe, but they were also planning a take-over... What's real and how did she disappear? |
