Some quick thoughts

- Interesting to see them on an away mission

- nice to learn some more about Saru

- I think we're going to need a Michael & Ash thread.:D

- nice to have follow up about the Admiral. Not sure if she's dead?

- Tilly knows that Stamets is being effected by the spore drive. Loved his argument about why they couldn't tell Dr Culber since it would put them both in an awkward positon due to their relationship.

I don't usually like episodes where there are a number of separate storylines. The Admiral can't hold my interest.

I didn't really enjoy this episode as much.

The different stories were a bit confusing to me, I might have to watch it again to really understand it all.

I love Michael and Ash, though. :)

Did anyone else think about the film Avatar when seeing the foreign planet and the way all beings are connected there and everything is glowing at night?

I'd have also like that klingon woman to actually be serious about wanting to help them. Bc as of now all klingons on the show are just plain evil liars and their only purpose is to kill all humans. A bit average and boring actually. And very undifferentiated, like all klingons are ugly aliens and evil man-eaters lol.

I preferred Stamets when he was STONED!

same

Me too :D

I must admit with the preview, I thought I would like the eppy better than I did...

- With the Admiral/Klingon angle I was slightly more interested in it, but afraid the Klingon storyline doesn't hold me interest..:look:
- Liked that the storyline was more on Saru and also his friendship with Michael
- Really liked that Lily went to Stamets and asked if he was ok and trying to help him, does seem that they are gearing up for friendship hopefully
- Aww Michael and Ash :), did like their scenes together and getting more closer, and Michael don't be negative ;)
- So the aliens trying to help the crew has now put them in a bad spot with the Klingons approaching
- If the Admiral isn't dead, I wonder if she can help ?

So yeah so so eppy...

I'm finding the Klingon bits very disappointing.

 he's still wary of her, but I think he's beginning to feel comfortable working with her again.

That was a good scene. Showed a bit of confidence on her part to confront him.

Agreed.

They are being written without any love for details as in previous shows. Just evil monsters and notorious liars (quite dishonorable for klingons). The characters are written very well, but the storyline is overall just nice, but that's it. Not amazing or anything.

Hope enough fans will point that out and they will improve these flaws and make these pretty cool characters also have a really good storyline. May need to hire some better writers though.

 on both points...esp. regarding the Klingons, I thought we would have more depth in their storyline, but nothing for me atm

 I think that's a big part of my dislike. We're not really seeing their sense of honour.

Yeah, the writers don't seem to understand the very nature of the Klingons we know and love.... That a bit of a disservice right there, and all it seems just so they can have interglactic bad guys.
