according to this article a lot of people actually did sign up for the service I am shocked that anyone would pay for a TV show. I bet once the episodes are done airing they will drop the service.

You can stream all their past/current shows on the all access and they are going to create more original programming to add to the all access as well.
But I can't see paying $6 a month for only CBS content. Not only that, but even at the $6 rate you also have to watch commercials on all access unless you pay $10 a month for the commercial free version. Such a racket |

Thanks for the link Amy. Interesting to know that people are willing to pay to watch it and that CBS seems pleased with the response.

It doesn't appeal to me because I don't really watch CBS. It is my least favorite of all the free television networks.
But I think some shows like past episodes of The Big Bang Theory are not on it. It's the same price that I pay for Netflix and Netflix has way more content to offer from all different networks. CBS all access can't compete with what Netflix has to offer. They are charging as much for a single network's content as what Netflix charges for dozens of different network's content Last edited by One Thing Remains; 09-28-2017 at 03:21 PM |

I completely agree with your philosophy. For me, Space is bundled with other networks like Discovery, History, I forget what else, but it's the lowest add on package to basic cable.

Saw the first part...
I thought it was a good introduction to Michael and Georgiou and loved the sign the Cpt did for the ship to find them. It was more an introduction piece really, It didn't really grab me that much. I did like the Saru/Michael discussions , seems it does seem that they disagree quite often I really liked seeing the Sarek/Michael scenes as well, hope we get to see more of them over the season.. The Klingons, I'm so used to the way we saw them in previous series, seeing them like this was a bit , so different... Anyways, thought it was alright, but not that great.. __________________

Also agree that the new look for the Klingons is going to take some getting used to. Sort of reminiscent of the casting Benedict Cumberbatch as Khan in Into Darkness. He was a great villain, but not my idea of Khan. __________________

I was surprised in the way the Michael wanted and expected the Captain to trust her in her navigation skills even when it appeared they were lost on the way to the well, but she couldn't extend the same courtesy to the Captain. When they were trying to make contact with the ship Michael was unable to trust that the Captain was taking them on the correct path to reunite with the ship.
It was ironic that the Captain's trust led to Michael's betrayal. The Captain never betrayed Michael and even chose to trust her again towards the end of the second ep when she went to the Klingon ship with her to capture T'Kuvma. I don't think Michael meant to betray the Captain and probably can't even see her actions as a betrayal since she firmly believes that she did it to save everyone. It also shows that Michael has sever trust issues which may come from her traumatic childhood and losing both of her parents. I think these trust issues are going to play a major role in the upcoming episodes. |
