It is officially set in the prime timeline. But I think that is what upsets many fans. They expected it to be more trekky. I think if they officially set it in the kelvin timeline most fans wouldn't have complained.

Just watching now cause didn't get a chance Sunday

ETA surprisingly a lot better than I thought it would be
It's officially set 10 years before TOS, so not sure.

I think for me going forward it was an interesting 2 part premiere don't get me wrong

BUT there wasn't much that can be taken from it - yea Michael and her relation with Sarek - yes there's a war that the Klingons are bringing

BUT again for me it seems right from the ending of her being imprisoned and it sees its going to follow her being on a "prison ship" - so honestly I'm going into 3rd episode with a blankform cause I feel it could be completely different than the premiere showed us of the show

I really hope we see more of Michael's relationship with Sarek going forward.

Honestly, I think they'd run into upset fans with anything set as a prequel.

I have to be honest I wasn't wowed by the show's premiere. I'm not too big on Sonquea being the lead.

Would give it another chance if I didn't have to pay to watch it. Doling out money for one show ain't worth it. So it's not a show I'll be investing it.

Anyways I am glad people who liked it and got hooked are enjoying it.

It still so retarded that its a pay-show what are they thinking? no ones going to pay for it when there's "other ways" to get the episodes

I'm really glad that Space picked up the Canadian rights, because it's a channel I already subscribe to. I wouldn't buy a channel just for one show.

I know someone here who got a month's free subscription to Netflix, so that they could watch it. I'm guessing Netflix is far better value for money than the subscription service showing it in the States, though.

I don't have Netflix, but from what I've heard, they have a wide variety of established shows. If there were a few of those you knew you liked, or wanted to try, it wouldn't be hard to justify trying it.

The other nice thing about Space is that they re air it a few times during the week. If you miss the first airing, there's lots of chances to catch up.

Its truly a hit and miss with Netflix they do good but there's so much more I wished that was on there None of the Arrow shows are on their - minus the fact Supergirl but probably only 1st season before it officially came to CW

What I have ALWAYS loved about SPACE are the reruns Star Trek|Stargate - I remember Farscape before it was taken off reruns and its how I came to liking Stargate - Ben Browder related to lead for last 2 seasons related to him lead of Farscape - Plus unofficially lady of mine for longest time of Claudia Black

Nah.

I saw nobody upset with Axanar for anything but screwing up the whole fanfilm scene by turning a profit.

CBS wasn't mostly upset by that - relatively speaking it was peanuts. They were upset with Axanar representing competition. Superior competition.

I miss Farscape so much I am still super mad at sci-fi for cancelling it early

I agree with you all. I am in the US and I refuse to pay for it. They would be much better much off having it available on their website to watch, the way they do their other programming, where they would at least be able to get revenue for commercials. I would honestly watch it that way if they offered it because it would be the same as watching it on regular television. It's crazy that they think the show is worth a paid subscription.
