Zac: I always say, it’s funny...but one of the main reasons I can relate to Link is because you know I’m not all about these like super super skinny perfect girls. I mean that’s so Hollywood, that’s not what girls are about. It’s self-confidence(Nikki giggles), it’s…it’s um, sense of humor, it’s fun, it’s what you do. It’s how comfortable you are.

Nikki: It’s how you shake your stuff.

Zac: That’s…yeah! And Nikki’s got…Nikki’s got some stuff to shake. She’s got some stuff to shake.

Zac: When she came out…Tracym honestly. You have no idea. This girl is, is…She’s magic.

Zac: And it comes through in the movie. She’s Tracy. It’s great.

I mean I probably learned the most by talking to this guy(points to Zac) and working with him.(Zac is blushing) I mean he’s, he’s incredible. Just the way he works and the way he handles himself. He’s such a professional. So I truly…he’s an inspiration.

Zac: Am I in John’s seat? I think I’m in John’s seat. Am I?(laughs)

Zac: Dude, I personally have to say you know that coming into this with slightly more experience, very slightly more experience. I was expecting to share a little bit with Nikki but I think we all ended up learning from this girl. She was truly incredible.

We’ve both been party to a lot more work…we’re gifted to be here..
Nikki: (nodding and gesturing to Zac)...yeah..somebody..
Zac: ..(nodding)..we’ve a one in a million shot…and right now it feels like we’ve just got a foot in the door..and we’re not gonna go screw it up…
Nikki: ..yeah that’s..(shrugging in agreement like he’s said it all)..
Zac: ..(shaking his head & smiling at Kerri-Ann)..you don’t have to worry about it.
Nikki: …yeah..that would be like a slap in the face. I mean somebody gave me the opportunity to be in this room and to start a career..
Zac: (nods and gestures in agreement leaning his elbow on the chair & leaning towards Nikki)…also I think with me & Nikki…we didn’t start off here..we haven’t been in this industry our whole lives…we’re lived very normally..(gestures to Nikki looking at her)..I mean you were..turned 17..and I..(shrugs)...I mean I didn’t do High School Musical till I was 17…I was just..your every day normal high school kid….y’know..with parents..that uh..(he and Nikki look back and forth at one another)..you know..had strict rules..
Kerri-Ann: So is it your parents who that factored into who you are today with that sort of appreciation?
Nikki: 100%..yeah….
Zac: 100%..yeah..we due it all for them…
Nikki: Yeah..
Zac: And y’know above and beyond the moral discipline…the fact that they supported us in our endeavours (Nikki nods)..I mean..there’s (laughs)..you’ve got no shots in Hollywood these days..no shots. And after all the blind auditions we went on...100’s of rejections…(Nikki nods in agreement)..and what with our driving back and forth to L.A…you know..um..you think your parents are gonna give up…and they keep going..you know..you can never repay them for that.

Rove: Was there any tongue action in your on-screen kiss?
Zac: (emphatically) Yeah.
Nikki: *gasp* (Looks at Zac with Big O face) You just totally put us out there!
Rove: Stop the clock!
Zac: I thought we had to tell the truth!
Nikki: Ohhh!
Rove: Y'know there a moment there where I kinda thought you...just a little...*makes twiddle gestures*..did you?!
Zac: A bit..y'know..you kinda forget...I guess..
Nikki: That we're on tv!
Zac: ..and you get carried away..

Jimmy will always tease us and just think of Elijah’s face today…he won’t be able to look you in the eye today. Zac: *smirks evilly and kisses Nikki thoroughly* LATER ON SET… Elijah: *pacing nervously* Adam: What’s with him? Jimmy: He heard something he didn’t want to when we went to check on Zac this morning. Adam: *cracks up* He just cant catch a break, can he? *Nikki walks in without Zac and up to Michelle and Amanda* Michelle: *Smiles softly* Someone is in a good mood today. Nikki: *smiles big* I told him…and he said it back. *all three squeal as Michelle and Amanda hug her* Amanda: That’s wonderful! *Zac walks in looking a little freaked out as the group moves to stand together* Nikki: Hey…what’s wrong? It’s creepy having John act like a dad in the Edna get-up. He was still intimidating! *shudders slightly, letting Nikki wrap her arms around him* *Moves to kiss Nikki passionately who moans lightly causing everyone to snicker* Elijah: *fidgeting nervously* Umm, can we get this going? Zac: *smirking* Why? Afraid of hearing something…satisfying…again? Amanda and Michelle: What happened this time?

And so the saga continues....

On set...

Adam: Ok, places everyone...this is the last day we have to shoot the finale scene so we have to get it right.

*Nikki walks off set to climb into the rocket and Zac takes his place next to Brittany*

Adam: AND ACTION!

*The rocket descends and Nikki moves to get out*

Nikki: Uh oh.

Adam: CUT! Nikki, what happened?

Nikki: My dress is caught on something *she laughs* Link, come rescue me!

Zac: *running over and stopping in front of her* You called, babe?

Nikki: I'm stuck in this thing, help me get out, please

Zac: *laughing while reaching behind her to untangle the dress* How in the world did this happen, sweetie?

Nikki: *laughing madly* I guess I was in a hurry to get to the kissing scene again.

Zac: *whispering* Oh really? I didn't know I was that good but thanks for the ego boost.

Nikki: *grinning* You're not just good...you're amazing!

Zac: *leaning forward to press his lips to hers* Likewise, baby.

*They continue to kiss, oblivious to the people around them*

Adam: *screaming and motioning wildly with his hand* For the love of all that is holy, can't you two wait until lunch to play your tonsil hockey games? Need I remind you that we were shooting and that we need to finish early because people have flights to catch for Thanksgiving.

Zac and Nikki: *in unison, pulling apart* Sorry your director highness, sir.

Adam: *beaming* Damn straight. Ok, places people...and ACTION!

*Filming continues until it is time for Amanda and Elijah to join the dance*

Adam: Anyone seen Elijah?

Amanda: *confused* Come to think of it I haven't seen him since this morning when he got to set.

James: *smirking* I'll go look for him. I have a feeling I know why he's hiding.

*James walks off set and stops when he hears movement in the storage closet*

*opens the door to find Elijah sitting with his head in his hands*

Elijah: *hurriedly* I couldn't stay there...everytime I saw them kiss I had flashbacks. THE NOISES! THE NOISES!

James: *laughing* Well as much as I'd love to take a sponge and soap to your brain and get rid of those horrifying flashbacks that would take time and Adam needs you on set.

Elijah: *sighing* Fine.

Back on set...

Adam: Elijah, why do you look like you've seen a ghost?

Elijah: *points at Zac and Nikki* It's all their fault...I was being a good friend and went to check on Zac this morning because of his hangover and I got see some of their "activities"...complete with sound effects.

Adam: *shudders* Ewww!! *looks at Zac and Nikki* Obviously you still haven't learned the art of being quiet. Less is more...remember that.

Zac and Nikki: *in unison* We thought we were alone!

James: *laughing* Guys, with as loud as you were I'm pretty sure the whole city of Toronto heard you

*They blush*

Adam: Alright, enough. Let's film this thing so Elijah can go get electroshock therapy to rid his poor innocent brain of the hideous sound effects. And ACTION!

The kiss scene...

Adam: Ok Zac, you know the drill and I'm sure by now you've had PLENTY of practice...no commentary by the way, I don't want to know. Kiss your girl.


*Zac leans in and captures her lips, parting them ever so slightly to slip his tongue in*

Zac: *whispering* I love you, Nik. So much.

Nikki: *hushed* I love you too, Zac. More than you will ever know.

Adam: AND CUT! Fabulous guys...and that is officially the end of You Can't Stop the Beat. Have a great holiday, everyone. See you in a week.

At Zac's apartment twenty minutes later

Zac: *kissing her cheek* I can't believe I won't see you for a week.

Nikki: *choking back a sob* I know...

Zac: *pulling her into his lap* Nik, look at me--look. I'll call you everyday, I promise.

Nikki: *sighing* I know, it's just that I'm used to being with you all the time, it's going to be weird...like part of me is missing.

Zac: *hugging her* I know, sweetheart, I know.

Nikki: *quietly* Zac?

Zac: What, baby?

Nikki: Can I have kisses?

Zac: *smiling* Of course.

Nikki: But I hear they don't come cheap.

Zac: *laughing* Cheesy line, doll. But, for you, they're free. Always.

*She grins as he takes her lips on his and they lose themselves in a passionate kiss.*

Meanwhile, outside the apartment in a van that's waiting to take the cast to the airport.

Adam: Alright, who wants to go get the lovebirds.

James: I vote Elijah

Elijah: *loudly* No way man. I refuse to go in there.

James: Rock, paper, scissors? Loser enters the love nest.

Elijah: *triumphantly* You're on!

James: *smirking* And paper covers rock. Have fun, Elijah.

Elijah: *muttering* Son of a...

James *pulls something from his pocket* Here, you might want these.

Elijah: A blindfold? Earplugs?

James: Do you want a repeat of this morning?

Adam: Yeah, they won't see each other for a week, they're probably going at it like--

Elijah: SHUT UP, Shankman! Thanks, Jimmy...I'll be right back.

In the apartment...

Elijah: *knocks on the door* Um...Zac, Nikki. We need to get to the airport. The van's waiting outside.

Zac: *opening the door* Dude, why are you wearing a blindfold and earplugs?

Zac: *kissing her and talking quietly against her lips* Nikki don't cry baby, please. I'll see you next week and then we'll have all the time in the world to spend together.

Nikki: *sniffling* Promise?

Zac: *laughing softly* I promise, sweetie. All the time in the world.

Nikki: Ok. I love you.

Zac: I love you too, angel. Always. I'll call you as soon as I land, Ok.

Nikki: *smiling and laughing softly as she holds up her cellphone* I'll be waiting.

Zac: *smiling as he walks to his gate* That's my girl.
