Welcome to the 1st Wanda & Ian appreciation thread.

Who are they?

From the #1 Best Seller Book "The Host", Comes a Soul named Wanderer aka Wanda. After taking over her Hosts' body 'Melanie' she begins to realize melanie is still inside her, her thoughts are there.
Together they find themselves stumbling through the desert while trying to find Melanie brother Jamie and love Jared and Melanie's Uncle Jeb finds them dehydrated.
At first Wanda(and Mel) are a Prisoner to these Humans, unsure of what to do with her fearing she will lead the seekers to them. But as time wears on, people begin to realize Wanda means no harm to them and she wouldn't be able to hurt a fly.
Ian O Shea at first is one of those who doesn't understand why they should keep this Soul/Girl alive. But whilst some of the most Angry people are away he begins to get to know her. And before he know it protects her from the others, putting his life on the line.
Through time he falls in love with Wanda, first signs when he gets jealous of Melanie's love 'Jared'. This surprises him and wants to know how she feels about him... to which she is unsure but he is willing to give her time to sort out her feelings.
But the more time they spend together, the closer they get. Even with Melanie's feelings involved, Wanda .. the Soul herself falls for Ian.

Moments after they express their love for each other, Wanda goes and Sacrifices herself for Melanie. To give her back her body, this was the one secret she never thought she would tell.
But unbeknowest to her, Jared forces the Doc to stop and they find her another body so that she doesn't have to go anywhere.
Wanda was not just another soul out to take someone's life, she meant something to the people around her. She became Human in the truest sense of the word.
in the end Wanda and Ian were finally able to be together, nobody else's thoughts in her head but her own, all the feelings and emotions were her own and no matter what happened, their love didn't fade.

I just re-read the book this past weekend and i love all the stuff we got between Ian and Wanda. They fell in love over time and friendship.
I love how protective he was over her right from the beginning, then he fell in love without realizing it.

Seriously I fell in love with Ian and Wanda. I love that he just knew she wasn't like the others and wanted to protect her.
