Yeah, there really is no queston in either Aragorn or Arwen's minds of where their hearts lie. They love each other. That's it.

(Lindsay was in the second season of OC, so if you stopped after S1, you would have never seen her. )

All this talk about romance and 'ships got me to use a 'shippy icon this time.

I like that shippy. I hate a shipper heart, I tend to couplize (so not a word) in most shows and books. What can I say, I'm a sucker for romance.

I think that's part of what drew me to Aragorn to much, he never wavered in his love for her. In alot of couples the men would be alot more attentive to a beautiful young woman like Eowyn than he was. He knew where he was meant to be.

Yeah, Aragorn liked Eowyn (which was okay - Eowyn's cool), but he loved Arwen. That never changed. And Arwen knew it, knew that even when he was telling her their "dream" was over, that it was because he loved her and wanted her to have the chance to leave and go with her people to the Undying Lands. That love is what helped her keep her belief that there was still hope.

Yeah. I agree about Eowyn being cool but what I always thought was that both Eowyn and Aragorn were warriors and they needed people who would soothe the restless part of them and inspire them which is why I felt they both ended up with the right people. I'm like that, I usually don't like people together who are too much alike, for instance why I'm not a Skate fan.

Aragorn needed Arwen, someone who could help provide a support for him while he was insecure and uncertain about both his fate and his own strength, someone who help him develop the faith and hope he would need to face his path. Arwen really was his inspiration. And Faramir was good for Eowyn - he was able to be hopeful enough to help lead her out of her own despair. They balanced each other out.

They both ended up with the right person.

Arwen and Aragorn were and are just perfect for one another. I mean Aragorn could have gone with someone else but he didn't because he loved arwen so much. And im sure arwen could have had someone else to but she didnt...because she love aragorn that much!!

They just loved one another, lol. They were the perfect companions for one another!

Rewatched a little bit of TTT the other night. Saw the "Then it is a good dream" flashback, the one where Aragorn admits he's unsure of his path and Arwen reassures him. Love how she tells him that if he trusts nothing else in the world, to trust in them, their love for each other. She has such faith in him, and in them as a couple.

It's the major thing about them, the trust and the sweetness. They are both older, so they know they've found the true things in each other.

I agree, i love the tenderness and sweetness between them because i dunno why but i do. And its lasted so long between them!!

Its just true love for them with one another...arwen definatly wouldn't have made her choice the way she did if it wasn't!

Yeah. *nods* I also love how Aragorn let her off the hook to go to the undying lands after he'd be gone and she refused. I don't think the Eldar left her completely.

They'd been together long enough to know that it was going to last, that they'd made the right choice. And while I really do understand Elrond's reasoning, and how hard it hurt to have his daughter stay behind where he knew she would eventually die and he would never see her again, there's a part of me that always wants to go "Come on, Elrond! She's old enough to make her own decision, you know!"

But I guess for a parent, even someone as old as Arwen is still your little girl.

Yeah, my Dad still treats me like I'm little. I think it's a natural fatherly tendancy. I think my biggest problem with Elrond was concealing the existance of their son, it was the only thing that sorta ticked me.
