I think in her mind, it was to show Mary's pain, and focus on that. But man that woman is insane, and completely wrong.

She's missing the point that if the writing is effective, they don't need to show her pain because she was obviously in pain afterward in Catherine's chambers.

Definitely not. I'm sure that I could come up with something for this episode, but I'm not feeling inspired after the rape. I also think that if you know about it going in, it affects you differently.
