I definitely think so but we know it's a fact the writers still continue to **** up big time after that.

It's sad what they've done to it.

Them going in that direction and having Beth still be alive could have been so good for them. But they clearly prefer the way they went. Shock value.

Exactly. It so much wants to be big and bombastic when it was at it's best when it focused on the opposite.

That is so true and it looks like it's a lesson they won't ever learn.

I saw there was interview going around on twitter just recently where Norman said they had a Game of Thrones-like battle coming up? They want to be GoT so damn bad. It's sad but also . But even with Game of Thrones those battles were leading to an endgame and had a ton of characters there from the very beginning, The Walking Dead is just a bunch of randoms, because everyone you loved is dead/gone, perpetually at war.

It doesn't surprise at all they want to be like GOT. That is so true about it being a bunch of randoms now.

Oh for sure. I remember thinking back in season 5 that they wanted to be GoT so freaking bad. But they are so awful at it. They can't world build the way Game of Thrones can partly because they are cheap as hell and partly because it has weaker source material. And like we've mentioned they aren't good at creating and incorporating new characters people care about.

But what gets me is that they are at war, again? Or still? That's exhausting and depressing and I don't get how people still want to watch that. Especially with how ****ty the state of the real world is right now.

Exactly.

I actually have no idea but with what little I do see it just seems like the same things over and over and over. The only thing that really changes is the characters get switched out with new ones. Yeah I don't see what enjoyment people would still be getting with this show in general but the way things are now make me question that even more.

I saw something in passing where gimple said they want to do the same ending as the comics? How the ****? Both Rick and Carl are gone.

I don't even know what the comic book ending is. But even I'm wondering how that can work when almost every single character is gone.

That scene still gets to me!
