I love that art, Jaime.
 In fact, I think that's my favorite Buffy and Spike dialogue. He finally realized that she feels love for him in return. And Buffy is on the verge of saying that they have a future together, until Spike insecurely interrupts her with: "Let's go be heroes" ~ his character journey since falling in love with Buffy is truly something special.  __________________

James Marsters was interviewed a couple of days ago by The Calgary Herald. This what he had to say about Spuffy:
"What I said was that ultimately Spike is the right person for Buffy. In the storyline, a few years after the series is completed, Spike would be ready for her having had time figuring out what to do with this new soul of his. I think Joss agrees with me. The ultimate pairing is Spike and Buffy. It obviously can’t be Angel and Buffy because every time they hook up Angel goes evil. So that’s just not going to work. I think Spike and Buffy are the ultimate pair. But for the time of the series, Spike wasn’t ready yet.” It's nice that James finally gets it! But, I have to disagree with him, I thought Spike was the "long haul guy" even during the series. No one understood or loved Buffy the way Spike did. |

But overall, I've always seen James be enthusiastic about Spuffy over the years in various interviews/conventions.  Also, I love that James said "Joss agrees with me" because he does. Last year, he said he was a Spike/Buffy fan because it was more realistic than the Romeo and Juliet thing of Bangel. But then he shut up because various sites (such as Vanity Fair) and Bangel fans went crazy at him.   __________________
