Maybe one day I will rewatch their scenes, especially in the later seasons.

Spuffy literally saved Season 7 from being a bore-fest. I hated everything else about it, except for Dawn and Willow's growth as characters. __________________

^ Oh season 7 was my least favorite season for Willow. Especially with the whole Kennedy stuff and Dawn was a mess for kicking her sister out.
Spuffy was really the only thing I really enjoyed about season 7. |

I didn't mind the Willow/Kennedy thing for some reason ... I don't get why because I HATED the Potentials but it felt like a calming period for Willow that I think she needed after she got dangerously lost in her grief for Tara. I don't think it diminished anything about her feelings for Tara, it's just something that helped Willow to regain his sense of self.
As for the kicking out Buffy scene... I read that as more of a dysfunctional group dynamic in the aftermath of them getting their butts kicked by Caleb. I completely understood Xander's reluctance to follow Buffy at that point - he had literally lost an eye upon her orders to go into that wine cellar. I'm not defending how nasty they all were to Buffy in that scene But I understood why they all turned on each other, and even Buffy. She was throwing ideas out that were putting people in the center of danger. Also, even though it was unintentional, being kicked out is what inspired Buffy to get back on her feet and regain her love for herself and for the role of the Slayer. Ultimately, I think she had grown weary of it by Season 6. Her conversation with Spike ("I understand with perfect clarity what you are") is one of her most important character realizations ever in the show. It's hugely underestimated by too many people. So, if the kicking out thing led to that? So be it. __________________

I always get the impression that this scene is THE scene. For many the strongest Scene in the whole show or at least very high on the rankings. I always thought that their scene in 7x21 doesnt get enough credit. The one where he tells her about the best night of his life and all. I love that scene so much, the light and dialogue is so incredible. __________________
