Me too, there weren't just sexual, there was a comfort there, & I think it showed what he really wanted from Darla...

But yeah you got to see his feelings and regret for what happened with Darla! And how he wanted someone to thank him, appreciate him and yes, love him.

Yeah, you got a bit of everything, because there were also the memories from when they were together as Angelus & Darla slipped in there, then you had the Angel/Darla sexy times, but also a fair bit of domestic times, where they just seemed like a couple that were in love & enjoying being together

^ Yes and for Angel/Darla, you knew it was to fantasy to be real.

But Angel was obsessed with those dreams.

He couldn't go to sleep quick enough. lol

And I liked that Darla sort of mocked Angel about how he was in those dreams... proving that everything he was saying in those dreams was all him.

He pretty much got to be himself Angelus/Angel combined. No holding back or pretending.

Oh yeah, she knew what had been going on in his mind, there was really no way he could try to deny what he really wanted deep down...

& that's pretty interesting about Angelus/Angel combining in the dreams, I think that shows something else that Angel was kind of in denial about too...

Yup which is why he didn't even think of pretending his thoughts in those dreams were fake and not him. lol

Angel was always in denial about Angelus when it came to a lot of stuff.
I love that Darla was probably really the only one who can for a little bit get him to know that both sides have some similarities and those Angelus feelings did transfer on to him with a soul even if he didn't want it to. Especially when he first turned to Angel, all he wanted was Darla. It was who/what he knew.

Season 2 of Angel, he was fighting for her to the point he was willing to die for her... so I'd say those Angelus feelings were pretty powerful in terms of the impact Darla had on him... because Angelus was willing to die for her as well.

That's true, even when he was Angel, he still followed Darla & wanted to stick close to her even with what he was dealing with & he couldn't kill people anymore

& the scene where Angel was willing to sacrifice himself for Darla is so powerful & one of my faves!

Yup, I felt bad for Angel because the soul was affecting him so much and he was a living guilt trip and I felt sad for Darla because she no longer had her evil partner in crime.

Angel did want Darla so much though, it took him a long time to be able to not be with her.

That scene was very powerful for sure! His feelings towards Darla were so strong and even Darla herself was shocked to ever see someone care for her that way again and it was the first time Darla started accepting her Angelus as, “Angel”.

Angel was probably surprised there too, he knew that he was willing to fight pretty hard to save her, but I think it was only in that moment that he knew he would die for her
