I hope to get the actual script and explanation to that scene. lol I am just curious of how it was intended to come out... each time I watch it from that balcony I feel the same. It does feel like Angel was truly hurt he couldn't help Darla and get her what she wanted. And yes it does feel like he failed her yet again.

And we clearly knew Darla finally thought she had her Angelus again and that didn't happen.

Well obviously so since Julie always made David acting so much better! They brought their characters to live with their scenes together.

I know! Probably on Bones... I can't be sure since I really didn't watch the show. I only saw glimpses from here and there but David working with Julie really did rise his acting game up.

I watched the show, & I never saw super intense chemistry between David & Emily tbh, not saying it was bad, just saying it wasn't really there for me

But still, no romantic David scenes have ever got to me like the ones he's had with Julie. Not just romantic chemistry, but also angsty scenes. None of them have the same effect on me like the Angel/Darla scenes

Same for me. lol But probably if I watched it from the beginning, I'd see things different but I just didn't feel those scenes from the little I watched... however, again, I am not ruling out that my opinion can change if I watched the show fully!

I agree it's just that amazing chemistry that David and Julie had that just brought Angel and Darla out to life.

Even when they weren't meant to be written correctly, it worked for them.

They brought out the angsty and romance side.
