well first 3 seasons it was great.
Season 4 was awful bc I actually thought bl had a good chance of getting back together & spent every ep waiting for a bl scene.  __________________

you mean when did I realise they weren't going to get back together?
hmm.......i'm not sure, I think it was probably at some point during season 5, bc even though BL had been having good scenes, there was still a lot of screentime centred around LP, & I knew that was going to go somewhere. & when Lucas proposed to someone at the end of season 5, it was pretty clear that that kinda rushing & grand gesture is not a BL thing, imo the only girl Lucas would've proposed to at that point should have been Lindsey, but I knew it would be Peyton bc.....let's face it, they're more about big moments of 'clarity' like that  __________________

That is so...true. Ugh.  I kind of lost faith somewhere in season 4, but 4x21 kind of made me hopeful again..and of course season 5. I clung to BL right up until the end..but I guess season 6 made me realize I was about to get my heart broken. Bah. I hate this show. __________________

season 4 as difficult, but at that point I still thought they weren't done playing the triangle. Lucas never picked, he never had Brooke & Peyton both standing in front of him, knowing that they both wanted to be with him & him choosing.
Season 1 was the triangle, & even though I am a complete BL'er, Lucas didn't love Brooke then, he had feelings for her, but wanted to be with Peyton. In season 2 Lucas actually got to know Brooke & realised what he had missed the first time around, they were together & were in love. Then they broke up & he dated Peyton for a season too, & again they were together & were in love. A part of me thought that the triangle was going to come back bc Lucas had been in serious relationships with both of them, but had never really chosen between them. __________________

I still hoped it was Brooke he was calling. Even if it didn't make a lot of sense.
