And the convo about the Russian dance team Elena and Nikita! I'm def keeping an eye out for them in the coming years! Haha, she does seem like a 'lil fashionista - I love how she changed! They skated together until 2005 and then broke up and then got together in 2009 again and was pretty. This is honestly the FIRST time I've seen this version of the Canadian National Gala (how's that possible???). I've seen the one that was taken from an audience member (and that was surprisingly good quality) but this has multiple angles (thanks CBC)

Oh. My. God.

I don't think I've ever seen such good caps of that. THEIR LIPS TOTALLY TOUCHED. Therfore their "brush of the lips kiss" was literally a kiss. Because I see upper lip brushing right there, children, don't you try and deny it. It won you a Worlds Silver Medal.

I love how Scott's eyes are half-open in the first one, and then she's supposed to move away and she just gets closer and closer, and in the second cap her heads tilting, Scott's head is tilting and in the third one his head is totally tilted for a kiss don't tell me you practiced that choreography.

They sure do! Couldn't get much closer than this without an "accident"! I also loved the pic of Scott head-kissing Meryl, and, of course, it reminded me of one of my favourite PDAs - a while ago, I made a little animated GIF of this moment and I was able to tease out this frame from the video. The quality isn't very good though, and I wonder if anyone knows if there's a better video of this performance. I'd love to make some wallpaper from it if there is (it's their World's 2009 FD maybe?).

I think so too. The way they... uh... dance, accidental lips brushings would occur many more than once. The "accidental kiss" they reported, would be a real deep kiss, "accidentally" seen by someone...

Okay, I just died laughing at the first two- cause, true!

And him proclaiming Tessa and Scott as the gold medallists is one of my favourite moments from the Olys. If I remember correctly, they were still on the ice in their final position when he said it, which made it even more awesome, and there's just something about the overwhelming emotion in his voice that just gets me every time I listen to it.
