Scott Moir ღ Tessa Virtue #89 ~ "We had a moment with each other — that is what skating is all about."
Welcome to the Scott&Tessa thread! . . . . .
Our favourite programs . . . . . . . . Olympic Champions World Champions . . . . . . . . . .In 2003-2004 season, fourteen-year old Virtue and sixteen-year old Moir made their debut on the ISU Junior Grand Prix circuit. They placed 4th at the event in Croatia and 6th in Slovakia. At the 2004 Canadian Figure Skating Championships, they won the Junior title, qualifying them for the 2004 World Junior Figure Skating Championships, where they placed 11th. They skated to Russian Medley choreographed by their future coach Marina Zoueva and Tutti Frutti. Canadian commentators were gushing about this remarkable new couple, calling them the new Bourne and Kraatz. Coached by Paul MacIntosh and Suzanne Killing, Virtue and Moir were quickly making themselves known in the figure skating world for their intricate footwork and incredible skating abilities. “All of a sudden, one day I woke up and ice dance and T e s s a ... that was my whole life.” . . . . .

As to the Tessa vegetarian question--- the fun facts section on the now-defunct T&S website mentioned that Tessa had been a vegetarian since the age of 9, but ordered a steak on her 20th birthday. I don't know if she is still a vegetarian. (I'm so, so close myself.... down to just a little bit of poultry and seafood every once in awhile. Quinoa is my jam!) |

Sad to read that Tessa isn't vegetarian anymore; that "fun facts" section had given me hope. At least Megan Duhamel is vegan, heh. So glad people have enjoyed the SCI photos; I had such an amazing time trying to capture them. I hope Guin gets to caption some more sometime. V., who had a really difficult time keeping herself and Guin fed without a car in Mississauga (Toronto has sooo many vegan options, so we ate very well before the competition, but at SCI we lived on Subway at the arena, ugh, plus snacks we'd bought in Toronto and cheeseless pizza delivery) __________________

Hahaha. Imitation is the sincerest form of flattery! Though she missed the detailing and different cut for the, um, left side of the dress...

Emily's dress doesn't even resemble Tessa's dress in the slightest. Different cut, different shade, different detailing. I think Emily's suits her a lot better than the one Tessa wore

And yet Emily went with black for the SD, unless her gold dress is intended for the "Stairway to Heaven" free.

Love that picture of Tessa! "Hmm, not sure I like the colour of this medal..."
Except for Emily's and Maia's dresses, the Cup of China SD costumes were totally grotesque. I'm so thankful for team Canton's sense of style! And speaking of CoC, if I ever hear any more complaints about how T/S or M/C are overscored, I'm going to respond with Bobrova & Soloviev's ridiculous 65 points... |

Hm.... This really interesting about gold dress.
Maybe Tessa had one more goldedn dress? I feel a little sorry for Emily today. But SD look interesting for me, but didnt have a lot off latin inside. At some moment they look good, but have a lot off time to do. Wish them good luck! Maia and Alex lost a lot of point at the last lift, wish was only level 1. At Nebelhorn T-S didnt had good levels too. Look like some technikal specialists look very carefull on Cnaton teams programs. That why i dont know what marks could T-S have at TEB. And all know, i think D-W was overscored at last year WCh and SA, but i left this - they always will have 10th, but i am sure both V-M and D-W will have even higher marks at next competition. As for B-S SD score. But what abiut P-B SD score at SA with so many mistakes? I feel like Maia and Alex didnt have reall contact with this latin dance. Like Tracy Wilson said about latin programs - its reall check-points for ice dance teams, to check there virsiality. But i am sure they will skate this SD better at next competition. And Eurosport have 3 years deal with ISU to show GP events. |

No worries guys!
I think this red FD dress is one of my all-time favourites Tessa has worn. It just stands out so brilliantly on that ice! __________________
