Interesting.. I guess that's what Robert meant when he said that Rumple will do something that makes the situation worse. Maybe he is considering to correct his mistake, but then finds this object and decides to continue lying?

And what is that object? Something that makes the dagger harmless, or allows him to use his magic even if the dagger is in someone else's possession?

Oh, Rumple, please don't make it worse. I know he's going to but I just want to shake him. Then hug him.

I'm inclined to think the stuff about Belle's mom is probably just speculation. I kind of think she's dead but we'll get more of her story in flashbacks later since her appearance in this episode is supposed to be brief.

*sigh* I guess Rumple is simply being an idiot when it comes to these dagger shenanigans. He was genuinely trying to be romantic when he gave Belle the fake dagger (he couldn't give her the real one because he's an addict and the dagger is the drug. Of course he wanted to keep it himself) and didn't understand it was a mistake before it was too late. And he is afraid to tell her the truth for fear of losing her (she might find out he killed Zelena). She is the only one he has left..

Rumple is the type of man that loves his lady everyday, and gives her the best of himself everyday. But when it comes to the big moment he fails sublimely.

Sort of like my husband. He cannot make a grand romantic gesture without me arranging it all. He doesn't know what to do for birthdays or annivesaries, but when it comes to the everyday stuff he pampers me.

Rumple can and does pamper Belle with everyday love, and with the expection of this huge blunder and lie Rumple is a good man.

He's an addict. He just can't quit cold turkey. Addiction makes people not think. not able to stop, and poor Belle is going to have to try and help Rumle acknowledge his problem and seek help to stop..
And it's ahrder to stop when others need your magic, and potion makign to help them.

Watch out Charming.. I think Rumple is going to need his bro!!

Maybe the Hook/Gold scenes coming up are about Gold telling Hook "hands off Charming. He's my friend."


Rumple knows what it's like to be powerless and poor. So of course he doesn't ever want to be that way again. That's one of the reasons I think we'll get a baby sooner or later. It ups the stakes. He lost his first child (that will never be okay). Can you all imagine how he would be with another child?

I do get where he's coming from though. Years of poverty and powerlessness and suddenly he's the richest, most powerful man in the kingdom for hundreds of years. Of course he can't give it up overnight. It's a long road.

I wonder what the Anna/Belle scenes are in the past? They certainly have something in common, with loving someone and not giving up on them.
