It was so unprofessional and stupid on the writers part to go about it the way they did. Honestly I think they must have had a vendetta with Julian (maybe they were pissed he was leaving?) to absolutely destroy the most beautiful couple they ever wrote in the first place.

I'll never get that either. Their story was the most epic in the whole serious. They've been through a lot and overcame loads of issues and obstacles. Maybe they wanted an ending for the couple with no comeback, but I wouldn't call that nothing but stupid. They could have given him a nice closure with both of them appreciating what they once had. I also think if they had left it at the season 4 finale, it would've been much better. At least she was devastated and there was pining on her side. We've seen emotions there, and as much as it was a tragic ending none the less, I'd surely take it over the crap the writers did in fifth season.

Were they so much pissed at Julian that all of a sudden they decided to ruin his character and Phoebe's too? I mean, his character had achieved great development through the show and he helped the Charmed one's in whatever they were up to all the time. It was totally unfair that they made Phoebe not able to forgive for what she knows wasn't his fault, and that he was consumed by the Source's power. S5 = Epic fail. I couldn't continue watch the show.
