I'm so sad that Season 3 basically retconned everything that Pacey and Andie promised each other in Season 2. It was like watching a different show sometimes.

I think many of us wish things had gone very differently in S3.

Destroying Andie's character was completely unnecessary, but I think they knew it was the only way fans would accept Pacey not being with her anymore.

I've just re-watched some of Season 1, and it's quite interesting to observe how real Pacey and Tamara's feelings were for each other.

People always think of Andie as his first grown-up relationship, but I actually think Tamara was... And that's why he was so prepared to look after Andie during her illness, because he wasn't the same 15 year old teenager who wanted to just have sex. His first heartbreak was over Tamara, and it matured him.
