If Brandon is going to be a regular in the spinoff, that won't be announced until after the episodes in June, so they don't spoil any suprises....if there are any.

That being said, I doubt Brandon won't be a regular. If they were just going to "show up" once in a while, they could just be somewhere else. This is starting to get interesting, I might give the spinoff a chance if that's the case. That being said, if Brallie was dead, there was no need to kill Grace and have Callie be all jealous about the new fiancee. It's not dead and I hope they keep Brandon as the main love interest throughout the spinoff. It can always be like Buffy. Angel got his spinoff, but Buffy was still his main love interest. He'd show up in Buffy and by the very end they were kind of endgame in Buffy while he had his spinoff, so who knows? They can't have gone through that whole anticipation for nothing. The only problem is the audience and how the GP tends to dislike Brallie (imho, because they're the straight white couple).

As far as the cancellation goes, it was about time. They lost their way. Last good season was season 3. I haven't even gone through the last half of season 4 because it bores me. Season 3 was excellent, season 4 was reaching. Like you said, too much sjw agenda, too little real, raw stories concerning the main family.

I left the show after 4x03. The only way I'll catch up is if these two get some kind of happy ending

but I still don't know about the spinoff, I feel like it's going to be just like in the show with Callie getting useless love interests, and I don't see it going past S1
