I hate that the show has made Daryl the punching bag and therefore always makes every bad thing about him. Why not focus on the ones who should really be the most affected at the time of the bad thing having happened?

I think they love brooding and angst ridden Daryl. They somehow manage to make other peoples situations about him while still never really delving deep into his own background.
