I was watching Legend with Tom Hardy a couple nights ago and there's this scene with a knife and the way they show it I was like yep that's going to come into play and guess what... it did. And then it got me thinking about Coda and that damn gun they focus on that leads to nothing. Ugh Coda!

I agree with you both. They went about the Beth story the wrong way if they always ended to kill her off.

Gimple and the walking dead have never heard of the concept of Chekhov's gun. I find myself doing that too sometimes, where I'm watching something and it makes me think of what if and what they could have done differently with the grady story. I think if you put coda side-by-side to anything it's going to be horrible in comparison.

It's so ****ty really. And honestly, it's not just with Beth. Like I still remember when Daryl picked up that book for abuse survivors everyone was so excited that something was going to come of it. And then nothing. That's another one that sticks out for me.

Everything on that show is just like an excuse to suck time, it's like there's pretty much nothing that tells an actual narrative.

The show isn't even about the zombies anymore. The title lost it's meaning a long time ago. Unless it now means figuratively. Everyone is basically dead inside so they're the walking dead now. Maybe that's what they're going for.
