I missed your take on our little crazy "friend"'s antics in 3.17. I also agree with you completely on the Daddy VDW story. I really hope they are able to handle it well and with some sensitivity.

I'm sorry I am extremely busy and I just don't have time for anything. Having now seen the promo I have a few thoughts on that, and I'll explain in a sec.

A) I called that Nate was sitting on that couch with Jenny the moment I saw the promo photos. I caught from photos that Serena walks in on them and that chat we see afterwards is what happens as a consequence. So it's clear NS solve it and talk it out, and freaking Jenny is finally toast and sent packing. Which is REAL good. I'm surprised they let out that in the promo photos but it's clearly how it goes, seen the promo.

B) I can see where Chuck is coming from. I'm not mad at him, he's just alone and sad and spiralling down and he wants his friend for himself only. I'm not saying what he's doing is right at all, but I can understand. And I much prefer scheming Chuck to pining Chuck. He's doing something wrong and obviously this will do him no favors, but I can see what's going on.. and I feel bad for Chuck. Having to resort to Jenny for help is... desperate for him

But, again, I really do understand him.

C) Sorry but this builds up the whole CJ thing that blabz was talking about. I'm pretty damn sure that Jenny will be the cause of trouble even though I'm also absolutely convinced NOTHING sexual happens between her and Chuck. The pieces of the puzzle though now DO fit together much more sensibly.

Thanks for posting that news, Keri. Wasn't it Blabz who first said that Jenny would be gone for about 4 episodes? I'm wondering now if Ale's past spec about Jenny possibly getting arrested for her part in Damien's drug dealing operation is coming to pass. As long as her absence is the result of actual consequences for her, no problem with me.

Yes Blabz was the only one spoiling Jenny going away and being MIA for the first few episodes of the season. They were dead right on that one, and I'm still CONVINCED like I have always been that those smiles in the goodbye mean nothing other than the fact that Jenny has FINALLY decided to actually do something GOOD for herself, like going to boarding school or anyway get herself sorted out. And yes, her being arrested for drug dealing would factor into this. Reaches a new low, and from there on it's "ok enough is enough, you need to go away and find yourself" which Jenny will do willingly. Also, by the wording of the spoiler with something really big happening, absolutely NO WAY she goes away for a fashion internship. I don't think her going away is going to be a prize for her.. but I do think it's the plot device to decide whether to rebuild the character or have her gone for good.

This also fits in what I was telling a few people way back (in February) that Taylor Momsen is in REAL bad terms with production... in fact, this is the perfect set up for them to decide what to do with her. Whether to make her come back or not. If she comes back stay assured it will be in a reduced capacity though. Which I am only happy about. There's NOTHING to like about Jenny right now. LESS than nothing.

I completely agree. Jenny NEVER pays the price for her actions and what she's done has been going from bad to worse. She really needs a serious smackdown and to pay serious consequences for what she does. I'm convinced her going away is part of it. And, I agree that liking a character is one thing, defending against ABSURD behaviour is another. I call foul on Serena too when she does something wrong, and I really really like her. But the Tripp thing was just totally wrong, and I never once justified her for it. At all.

Ion, I do remember reading about that Blabz spoiler -- Dan interfers with Nate/Serena and they break up. But I'm not sure what they said about Nate/Serena breaking up before the finale.

actually I don't know where this comes from but I have all the spoilers from Blabz and they NEVER, EVER spoiled such a thing. It was the DSers who made this up from nothing

Blabz NEVER said Dan interferes with NS AT ALL. They said Dan gets in a fight with someone and that ruins something, and that's certainly not about NS I think it's Vanessa and the TISCH applications at this point. Or Daddy VdW. Also, there are photos of Dan and Nate hanging out in 321 and they're just fine so even implying ANYTHING is wrong between Dan and Nate is beyond ridiculous. Dan interferes with CHUCK AND BLAIR, if with anyone at all (because of the "Blair finds out something thanks to Dan" spoiler). Not with Nate and Serena. NOTHING like that was ever spoiled by Blabz. EVER.

Blabz also said that they DID NOT KNOW how bad the breakup between NS is and that the new episodes would be needed to understand. Which means the breakup is nothing traumatic and it must occur in the finale, or they wouldn't need the following episodes to determine things.

And we've had spoilers from the extra on the Chinese site that in 321 Nate and Serena DO look like they're still together, so I have no worries about that. Also, we KNOW from spoilers that Jenny fails in her manipulations, so there's no reason to believe that NS won't be fine after 319. I do believe the breakup is in the finale and it's over Daddy VdW.

It worries me. I don't want Nate to regress.

And I just want him to completely shut her down, I don't Serena to walk in AND THEN he shuts her down.
It's not fair to Serena.

And how can you judge what Nate is doing by seeing nothing?

Seriously. He didn't back away in the game kiss either, that means nothing

I couldn't care less, Jenny fails in her manipulations and there's nothing Nate has to do to be redeemed. He has nothing to be redeemed for in the first place. Stop freaking out!

Because they ARE fine. We have photos between takes from Norman Buckley for 321, and we know from the report of that extra on the Chinese website that in 321 Nate and Serena do look like they're still together. I'm sure the breakup is in the finale, or Blabz would've known how bad it was etc. instead they said they needed the new episodes to be filmed in the summer to understand how bad it was (which means it's nothing all that dramatic to begin with).

I get where you're coming from. But remember, at the time of the attempted kiss, he is drunk and has been drugged. And he's also definitely not leaning in. I'm with you, though. I would love it if as S walks in, he actually rejects Jenny himself. That would be awesome. We'll have to see what happens. I'm super nervous too
