Love those vids. DS were always meant to be. I guess I just look at Dan and DS as unconditional. They both loved each other warts and all.

exactly. I always loved Dan because he was always honest and so funny and awkward. He is genuine and has a good heart, no matter what. I also loved that about S. lets not forget how adorkable Dan is He was always there for S, more than anyone else on the show and he would do anything for her. I feel like I'm watching a different Dan in season 5 and 6. He was nowhere near as kind and caring as he once was. Seasons 1-4 were the best for him and DS I think. They didn't get too much season 3. I was glad the trifecta of fail ended.

I see what you mean, but there was always more to DS than that. Dan was also a kid from brooklyn with a lot of edge and like it or not S hurt him in S5 and he sought solace in the wrong girl. I agree that he was messy and mean in s6, but I think all the characters including Serena have had their bad seasons and opportunities to be mean and spiteful so I don't judge the character by those actions. If anything S5 Dan was just sad and allowed himself to be in a relationship that wasn't ever going to make him happy.

Season 1 is the best season for them. Dan and Serena used to be funny and I love how she would always smile when she with him.

Season 3 Dan was there for her when her dad was getting arrested. There is why I love them and him.

I didn't realise how much I was missing DS until I saw them in the taxi together in season 3, when she leans on him. That hit me right in the feels

Yes that. Back in season 1, Serena was the girl who talked to him at that party, the only one. In high school you were the only one who saw me for who I really was Serena says this to Dan in Season 5 and she is right. Of course, that is the time Dan has changed too much into someone I barely know anymore. I tend to not remember seasons 5 and 6. Seasons 1-4 were better, good seasons for Dan. and Dan and Serena.

Oh my gosh, I loved that scene in the limo. I was so miserable when they were off dating other people cause they were primary ship. Welcome to the thread. I've been rewatching and its nice to see others posting here.
