Because they were always setting up Nate with Jenny. They were just waiting until she was a little older to do it ~for real. Of course, then the BTS stuff happened and we never really got NJ.

She did always love him and she was always fighting for him too, which is what I wanted for Nate. Serena always loved Dan way more.

It's just a shame we never got it, Im still so bitter about 212.

Yeah NS was such fail. I cant believe them. While Nate was with Serena, he rescued Jenny.

It just doesnt make any sense. How can he be mad about the dress but not about Vanessa stealing the letter? If anything it would have made more sense for him to dump them both, but picking Vanessa was just so dumb.

Well, Nate is a huge hypocrite when it came to Jenny, so I'm not surprised...but I thought he would have eventually apologized. *SIGH* What could have been.

^ Yeah as much as I loved their moments at Cotillion, I'm still annoyed that up until that time, they barely interacted except for that random conversation in 2x18 during that play. Plus, they just swept the whole letter thing under the rug and we never saw him apologize to her. Forever bitter over that

That's just bad writing. Season 1 had decent writing, but after that...it just got worse and worse. *SIGH*

Yeah its like he held Jenny to higher standard which was unfair.

The NJ writing was just awful in season 2. At least in season 3 they had more interactions and even though i hated how they wrote Jenny in parts, at least it was obvious those two cared about each other. I still remember 321 and being so happy when Jenny showed up and Nate showed her to to her room.
