Couples - Max and Penelope (Penelope) because he didn't run away

I just came back from watching Penelope and I just fell head over heels in love with this movie!

I'm about to say somethings about the movie and if you haven't seen it, you might want to look away.

You have Penelope the sweet rich girl cursed with the face of a pig. Everytime a rich suitor sees her they runaway like a bunch sissy little girls (and I bet their virgins too hehe).

I feel sorry for Penelope because she has a crazy, arrogant, shallow, loud mouth of a mother, who's always bringing up that Penelope is a "pig."

Enter Max, the down-on-his-luck gambler. He's hired to get a picture of Penelope and needs the money. He starts visiting just talking, playing chess.

There was this one scene where Penelope brought in all this instruments to see which one he plays. He's playing the drums, guitar, very badly and all the while singing "you are my sunshine". He was so dorky and adorable.

When Max finally sees Penelope he's not scared, or grossed out. He stares at her but he doesn't see a girl with a face of a pig. He sees...Penelope.

I swear those eyes were just looking right at her very soul and my heart just melted.

I could go on but I won't. Instead I will say this...SEE THIS MOVIE!!!

i watched the movie recently

unfortunately the book was better because they cut stuff out that should have been in the movie

but James was amazing in it

and of course Christina and the rest of the cast

favorite scene was when he was singing you are my sunshine

and the kiss scene at the end

I just read the book myself and they left a lot of stuff out. I wish they added some of that stuff in the movie but I still enjoyed it.

Kiss scene was also a favorite. The way he kissed her, it was...wow! He poured all his love and accepting her just the way she is into a single kiss. I could watch that scene over and over again.

I keep hearing about their incredible kiss. Does it come at the very end of the movie, like does the film end on their kiss or is there something after it?
