Welcome to the Ric and Matilda appreciation thread! A couple who waited four long years before being paired up on the Australian show Home and Away.

Eric Dalby and Matilda Hunter first encountered one another in high school four almost five years ago where Ric was the potential bully. Her twin brother faced the brunt of the harassment and Matilda tried to find out reasons why Ric was doing this.

It all came to a realisation that not only was his father beating him up at home, but that he was also Alf Stewarts unknown grandchild. When his father had a heart attack, Ric was taken in by foster parents Sally Fletcher and Flynn Saunders. There his friendship grew with Matilda into something that could have easily been more; had it not been for Matilda's mother warning him off.

They went their separate ways in a romantic sense although still remained close friends and dated others along their path, but after all these years their feelings returned in full force and they did what had been attempted years before that - they started a relationship.

And so far their romance has blossomed on Home and Away into something deep and honest. They've shared their highs and lows with one another, intimacy and like all couples, disagreements and forgiveness: all of that put together and you have one amazing pair!

His feelings for her never went away.
Because 'the right one is out there' and she is his right one!
She wanted to be with him.
He listened to her when she talked about Beth.
Because they were friends before they got into a relationship.
They hold hands when walking down the beach.
They always reach over to hold each others hands. Aww.
Because he didn't want to rush into sex.
Because she snuck into his room and they were caught in the morning!
When they fight, you can tell its hurting them.
He plays with her hair.
He resized her mothers engagement ring for her.

I'm actually in the process of trying to make a video of Matilda and Ric at the moment; trying is the key word.

I just hope I'll end up finishing it otherwise it's going to wind up becoming a statistic along with my other unfinished music videos.

I like the fact that they are now living together, it shows how much Sally reconizes that they now have a mature relationship and are ready for it.
Its so cute to see them together in the house, usually she starts out with her PJ's on

I loved that scene when they were down by the boat.

And the fact that Colleen had seen them and came to conclusions was hilarious, though I guess it would have looked a little suspicious.

Yeah. After the whole Johnnie thing she didn't feel safe living in Tony's house anymore.. and she planned on moving out at some stage anyway. So she and Ric decided that they were ready to move in together, they broached the subject with Sally and she agreed that they were mature enough.
