Mark "From the pilot, we designed a world where Peyton and Lucas were meant to be together, and we've never played that, so it's hard to know if that's true or not. They've been so close so many times, and I think it would be disingenuous to the show not to play that at some point. I feel like there's a lot of great drama there, and I think that's something we will explore in Season 4." "If they love each other they should be together...um the same thing with Lucas and Peyton. Peyton is sort of reluctantly acknowledgeing this connection that she has to Lucas." ~On the kiss in 316 “All we have are the two people who matter to each other. The Nathan and Haley moment, the Skills/Bevin moment, the Brooke/Lucas moment, and then obviously this moment. Hillarie is so good with these small movements and expressions, and you believe her. You know when she hugs him you believe that this girl has all these feelings and she’s trying to hide it, but when he can’t see her you can see it on her face. And then this was in the pilot and this was a moment…but I got chills when I was in the writer’s room, I said listen this is the moment that’s going to bring them back together and we’re going to go back to the Pilot. And as the kids are congratulating him at state, we’re going to flash back to the kids congratulating him at the first game he ever won which was against Nathan, when they connected for the first time. Now that moment has been four years in the making, you know, and that's one of the things that I learned coming out of features to tv, patience. You know, you're building something that is a marathon and not a sprint, and you have to save your moments for when they are organic and true. That moment, eighty episodes later, it paid off in a big way. You bid your time and don't force thing and you find that moment and it works." ~On the 4x09 Gym Scene “This has been a long time in coming too, obviously, now there’s a lot of fans that are like, ‘I wasn’t feeling the chemistry between them’ or whatever, but I do. I really do. thanls for the thread Kay and i want hand holding to and back circle comfert it reminds me of 115 when she tooked care of him. how cute were they in the hospital when he passed out she got close to him and was about to ask him something but karen walked in aww they looked so emo with all of that black on
