Please tell me, where there any cute Tom/Sybil or Sybil/Tom/baby scenes? or even Tom/baby? I may watch them without the rest. I'm no longer numb. I'm weeping and can't stop. __________________

So how is everyone?
Bad, I know. That was far more horrible than I thought it would be. But for some weird reason, that made it easier. Because it really was just completely OTT, cheap, lazy melodrama. And everyone knows it. The backlash has started and it won't abate, I don't think. What can you do? The guy is a limited hack. And he's only getting worse. So I tried to focus on what a great job Jess was doing with the scene, and Allen and Elizabeth too. They were amazing. She's been ignored, but she killed it. And she is headed for amazing things, I think. I am still angry, but clearly Fellowes just isn't capable of more than this. The fanfic writers should be doing this, not him. Tom standing at the window with the baby broke my heart. I think that's when I cried. So let me get this straight. After his arrogance basically killed his daughter, Robert now plans to interfere with her poor grieving husband's intentions to baptize her Catholic? Seriously? He should be getting down on his knees and apologizing to that man. Does he not realize that his faith is going to be the only thing getting Tom through this? I wish Robert would just do everybody a favor and die. |

I know! I haven't watched it yet but if I'm crying already, I'm going to be a mess in a few hours. I think everyone's already said why this was wrong narratively so I won't beat a dead horse. I've never had a character I loved die before their prime. The only one that comes close is Padme from SW but the inevitability of her death was there since 1977. This, however, was senseless and there need not have been anything inevitable about it. I'm going to need fix-it fanfic or something.

 Such a waste of great potential. Which is fitting I guess since Sybil has always been this from S1 to now (and T/S)...a great waste of potential. Also damn, but what is it with British shows? Every ship from shows I've watched like Skins, Misifts, DA ect my couple gets a crap end. __________________

You know what makes even more sad and angry? That people said that her death was graphic and painful. Why would they do that? I would have preferred her dying of a broken heart over a painful death!!! Did JBF want to leave and JF was punishing her for it? I mean, that's all I can think.

Patano, I am alternating between numb and crying. I missed the first half...computer problems (and you should have heard the names I was calling this thing!), so got there in time for the birth and what came after. Tom holding the baby at the end, looking out the window...no words for that. I love good acting as much as the next person, but this is purely...again, I cannot find the words. I might watch for Tom and the baby, but can in no way get myself to care about the estate or Bates or much of anything right now. I may be able to later, but the thought of Tom alone is way too depressing...what does he have in his life other than that child??????? Crying again. This was/is just too cruel. |
