The buildup for a couple will always belong to my Pacey/Joey <3 We saw their COMPLETE transition from bickering childhood friends, to real friend, to Pacey's love for her, him admitting it to her, the denial, the complete non-denial of groupfests, the breaking up for childhood friend, to choosing Pacey above anyone else as her true love
 And then after that, we got two seasons of them from being a couple, to heartbreak, to friend, to reuniting  __________________

Max/Liz from roswell (it's one of the reasons of why i love them )
Friends to lovers to friends&lovers They started as the sweet&innocent couple and then they gradually became more mature and passionate, more epic (although i hate this word  ) when they overcame many trials and tribulations.. they really never had it easy but they won against everything even death. The 3 seasons are 3 different "layers" of a relationship in my opinion.Also, the pilot started it all but there was a backstory there. He saw her when he was just a kid and since that moment he loved her for 10 years.. he basically grew up loving her before he actually got the chance to be with her and be loved back. They knew each other to a degree but because of him being "different" he hid his feelings and he never tried to get her attention. Then when he saved her and later when he connected to her making her see and feel all his inner feelings she got the chance to know him like no one could, she saw inside him the real him and she fell in love with him. other couples: i agree about Sydney/Vaughn also Luke/Lorelai from gilmore girls from the books Jo/Laurie (little women) had a great build up too that's why the end is still a big WTF for me Henry/Clare from the time traveler's wife have an unique build up too although i don't even know how to summarize it.. when time travel is involved it's a mess But really they're a perfect "puzzle" (and paradox) created by the hand of the author. |

I also love how Ron/Hermione were done in the Harry Potter series. At odds early on, their push/pull relationship, the bickering and head-butting and challenging each other, Ron's complete cluelessness (typical boy!), all leading up to a wonderful revelation...loved it! __________________
