This movie imo, is better than Pretty in Pink. The center of the triangle ends up with the right person, and even the "loser", Amanda Jones, turns out to not be so bad, realizing she needs to stand on her own and be herself, she didn't need those rich kids to feel worthy anymore.
I had read John Hughes made this one because the studio made him change the ending of PiP, where Andi ended up with Duckie. Tests audiences didn't like it or something. What were they thinking? Blane was soooo spineless. |

I do love Pretty in Pink but this movie was always really cute too and underrated.

Great scene, thanks for posting.
 I heard why this was written in response to the PiP ending change too. This one had a much better ending. I tend to hate love triangles but this one ended in a good way with my preferred couple together and the other person finding their own way with no hard feelings. __________________
