I liked them from the moment they met...but what cemented it was when they met on the rooftop. James gives Kara the blanket Clark was wrapped in. It was so sweet. :love:

Thanks for the new thread, and I COMPLETELY agree with Static Waves (Tammi) Season 2 is the complete opposite of everything Season 1.:shrug:

^ Agreed and I didn't sadly consider myself a shipper since I ship Kara/ALONE at this point because of how wishy washy she's been written however, the disrespect that Kara/James received during Season 2 makes me sort of appreciate them more in Season 1.:( A joke what happened.

I think supergirl was so interesting in the way it actually replicated Lois/Clark's relationship archetype through Kara's relationship with both Alex AND James.
Alex grounded Kara to family and reality, encouraging more of the human tie. And James spurs her to be the hero. |

He did encouraged and believed in her, although at first it was all about his Superman love but when they grew closer, he really believed in her for her.:) I even loved the episode when Kara didn't have her powers and it was James falling off the elevator which helped her power come back.:) |
It's why her realizing all of the sudden they should be "just friends" was even more annoying. I would have even been ok with the break up if they still focused on James pining for Kara. But they didn't. They replaced sweet, caring, supportive James (played by a POC...which is important to note) for the WORST.
