Yep... she was thinking of her toy plane.


You know how in this episode Kate lied to Jack, tried to manipulate him and then we saw how bad she felt about it. Even in the scripts it mentions how lying to Jack made her sad.
She was so used to lie to people. About herself, her life, everything. Its important that for the first time maybe in long long years lying to someone made her feel that way. And this someone is Jack. She knows her only for a few weeks tops. But it doesnt matter. Her feelings already run deeper than she could admit herself.

In the upcoming episodes, prolly the Jun centric.... Sun asks Kate "Have you ever lied to the man you loved?" and Kate is lost in thoughts. I always felt like Kate was thinking of Jack and how she had to lie to him in this episode.

yes, I think of all the people she lied to, she only felt sad for Jack. Because Jack really made her realize that she was better than that and she didn't want to disappoint him. But she didn't get that Jack didn't care about her past. He always accepted her. He only wanted the truth.

yep But Kate was too ashamed of what she did and she thought she didn't deserve him. Obviously, thanks to Jack too, she realized that she was a good person and that she deserved something good. AKA Jack
