I think when people bash the character of Tara or Jax/Tara as a couple they probably don't really understand the show. Thank goodness we have KS because he doesn't listen to all the haters!

We do have quite a few royals floating around. Of course the King and Queen, Clay & Gemma, rulers of SoA-dom. Then there is Prince Jax and Princess Tara, next in line to the throne, current Prince and Princess of Charming.

- I linked the Tara/Tig story... as I said, I liked it because it's onesided, since I don't think Tara would ever cheat on Jax OR see Tig that way...I thought the hand-holding was an expression of affection and that she somehow has come to care for him, but not the way he does for her

-Speaking of fic, I haven't been reading longer stories because lately I'm always in a rush, but Mav, your oneshot is terrific! Fixed so much of what was wrong with S3, was swoonworthy and very in character!

Going only by summaries (because I never read OC stories), the ones that annoy me the most are the ones in which Mary Sue was actually Jax's bestest friend since elementary school but then mean Tara came in the picture and.... I just can't!

Mary Sue (Gary Stu for a man) is a narrative trope! It's when someone creates an OC that is perfect, the best at everything, loved by everyone...and obviously a stand-in for themselves!

Messy, Naz the Mary Sue's that just drive me up the wall are the one running from a deep secret while caring for xyz family members and just happen on a job at Teller-Morrow (because a garage ran by criminals will totally hire anyone) and Jax has to save her while she saves him from Tara

Yep, the fics with the out of place characters and making Tara a "mean girl" are just downright cruel. I did however come across some good J/T fics on LJ last night.

^^^ THIS!! Drives me absolutely bats**t! What's even weirder is that there are a fair amount of readers who really want that Jax/OC story. Who write in the reviews about how cliche a Jax/Tara pairing is and how excited they are about this awesome, perfect new OC. WTF???

I didn't really even get into fanfic (for any fandom) until this January, so I spent some time digging around and being horrified by the amount of Tara hate. wait...

I have read a couple of Happy/OC and Juice/OC that I really like and am invested in. But those characters don't have canon old ladies. However, I'll still get irritated if these stories write Jax/Tara to look bad so that Juice or Happy and his OC can look better by comparison.

I may or may not have to leave my house soon. Family obligations... so I will probably miss the rewatch. Have fun ladies!
