That was a plot in the original telenovela. Juana and Mauricio thought they were brother and sister at one point.

Oh, this is how Rose knows who Raf's bio parents are. S2 is such a lame season, I forgot about some of the season's storylines. Rose was the stepdaughter of Rafael's mother(The woman he thought was his actual mother) Elena aka Mutter. Elena at a time was married to Rose's father. Rose knows everything about Elena. Also both were Miami's most notorious drug lords. Rose killed Elena.

I don't think they could do a "Jane and Rafael think they're siblings story". Jane's biological parents are established with no ambiguity. And Rafael is too old to be either of their secret love child. But they could connect him to another family member, like Mateo Sr., making them think he's Jane's uncle or cousin. I don't think they'll go there. But they might, like the confusion with Eva and Rogelio's family.

I totally forgot about Rose being connected to Rafael via Mutter.

That's true. There's no way they could be siblings because we know who Jane's bio parents are. We know for fact who they are. Neither one could have conceived Raf. It's impossible. Raf wasn't even born in America. Jane's parents were teen parents. Not happening. The craziest theory is Rose. lol That's also impossible because she's not even old enough and again he wasn't born here.

Thank God for that. I love the actress and as an s1 villain. However, I prefer she just stay in jail.
Out of proffessional curiosity was there a Rose and Michael in the original telenovela.

Defiantly not Ro and Xo unless they conceived at 10 lol. He 6 years older than Jane

What I know about the original telenovela is from people who have watched it. I haven't watched it myself. I've only seen part of the first episode. There is a Rose character, the step mother. But I don't know if she becomes the big villain. And she and the Luisa equivalent are only hinted at. The original version of Luisa is murdered in the second or third episode. As for Michael, in the original, Juana has a friend who's against her relationship with Mauricio (the Rafael equivalent). People have said Michael's based on him. But this is all second hand knowledge. Jennie says she watched the first episode of the original, and read a summary of the rest of the series.

The theory I've seen is that JR's mother is also Rafael's mother, making them half siblings. It was suggested here too. I liked the idea, but JR has the stink of Petra on her now, and it makes the JTV world too incestuous and insular for me.

We're towards the end of season 4 - if there was a possibility they were related it would have come up already!
