He told Jane "Why didn't you tell me Rafael a good guy?" Jane and Raf were not together in S3, she was married Michael. That's when Rogelio really got to know Rafael. Remember in the episode with Dr. Quinn aka Jane Seymour? Jane was so happy.

They made both of her parents anti Rafael. I understand Xo knew Michael longer, but she was nasty for no reason. She refused to support the relationship. I guess TPTB needed both parents to be #teammichael since they were killing him off.

No after that. In 4x01 when they are all in the car Xio mentions how she thought she was going to tell Rafael about her feelings and Alba is thrilled and says something like of course she should be with Rafael and Rogelio panics and mumbles something like he doesn't know how to feel about it. At least that is what I remember. Will re-watch it later to be sure.

Michael did him favours whereas Rafael didn't, that's what made Michael his bestie :shrug:

True. Michael helped Rogelio get into his role when he was playing that space cop. So they bonded over that.

But he never really gave Rafael a fair shake. Until Rafael started doing favors for him.

Although Rogelio was definitely team Michael, he did not try to influence Jane's decisions, unlike Xiomara. I liked that. I hope someday Xiomara and Rafael will have a talk. I doubt it. I still hate Xiomara for the part she played in their relationship.

As others have said, I also didn't necessarily buy the bond between Michael and Ro, but I think her parents having a general dislike for Raf was just more adversity for J/R's relationship to overcome. I do remember when Raf and Ro had their previous bonding though; I think it was season 2. But, hey, maybe, after years, Ro feels like liking Raf again is somehow betraying Michael, since that was his best friend.

Ro knows that Jane developed feelings for Rafael. Raf did not reciprocate those feelings. I wonder if that will come up. That would be a nice conversation.
