I'm sure she's going to feel hesitant because she's worried that their co-parenting dynamic will change if things don't work out.

I understand her apprehension; I just really hope they don't drag this on and on; there's always the possibility they will with this show.

Yes, on this show that is possible. lol. If they get that fifth season, J/R will probably come together in the second to last episode of this season or the season finale. They will together in for real in the fifth season which will also be less than 22 episodes.

The network seems to love Jane..and Jennie mentioned once that she'd hoped and requested notice for when the show would finish. I suspect she has a 6 season plan..but can probably make it work in 5.
My hope is we actually get a season of Jane and Rafael together..id hate for it to be dragged for them to only just get together in the series finale, that wouldn't be satisfying.

Anyone remember the interview after Michael's death and the time jump..Jennie said the show was in its "final third".. But also that the sections are not all equal chunks of time

Maybe I'm being naive, but I doubt we will have to wait until the series finale. You mean every ship happened on this show but the main endgame ship happens again off screen?! I would be mad ass hell and I'm sure I'm not alone. Everyone had sex on this show except the main endgame ship?! The last time I was that angry at something a tv show did was when SV was still on the air. Many storylines on that show had me heated.

If they get together again, I want them to stay together until the end. I don't want anymore back and forth. It's already getting a bit exhausting for me. And couples lose their rooting value when that happens, IMO.

The other plots are feeling like conflict for the sake of conflict right now (Anezka's death, Alba saying "no", Xio and Ro going to counseling).

When the show premiered, I believed it was probably a 5 season storyline. I believe it ending this season would feel very rushed. I just noticed the LLN said, "A chapter closed" when Petra and Rafael were on the elevator together, then the doors closed. Jennie also mentioned Petra no longer having romantic feelings for Rafael. Raf also no longer has romantic feelings for Petra. That is dead forever.

I'm just going off the assumption that most TV cast contracts are for 6 years - and i wouldn't mind more JTV

I'm late to the party! But what an episode. It brought back all my Jane and Rafael love. Fro the windows metaphor, being brave and the petals, my little heart could hardly contain itself.

I'd love for Jane to pine over Rafael more too, but Raf has always been the more mature one - recognizing that they belong together.

Is it too simplistic ... but when the LLN said that her best reviews were to come, I though he was referring to the Jane The Virgin book we're watching now. Maybe when it was adapted from Jane's book to television, they took some artistic license with Mateo's accent as the LLN.

I can't wait to see where we from here but I cannot deal with a season six! No thank you. End it in season 5 please.

Just reading this article, some interesting excerpts.

JTV as a show is definitely a future book Jane will write (this was in the S3 summary)and i believe is what was referenced when it said 'her best was yet to come'

I didn't put this in spoiler tags, because I thought it was kinda general (hopefully). I hope Jane tells her family they are 2 adults capable of making the choice that works for them. I can see the moment being comic relief.

Sidenote: Gina is directing one of the next episodes, so yay!
