I liked the moments between Jane and Rafael and i'm glad that they finally have a formal custody agreement that they're both happy with. But I'm tired of Jane constantly having to have a big conscious reveal for her to finally understand someone else's point of view. I'm glad she finally agreed to Rafael's request but its starting to feel like every episode Jane has to be enlightened. When Rafael requested a month for a holiday, she said a week. A week? You'd barely see half of Paris in that time. She couldn't even give him two weeks, she'd only move to ten days, initially. I get Jane was thinking as she is currently feeling but when Mateo is older, a bit of space will be good for them both. And with technology as it is now, she could talk to him everyday.

Despite Michael finally getting an actual storyline this week, it was also riddiled with ludicrous plotholes. How can a newspaper article get him fired? Suspended, perhaps, but wouldn't they need to run and independant investigation into this? And how is it that they weren't aware of his connection to Rafael? They've had inernal affairs investigating him and this didn't come up? Also, is it just me or did Jane not seem to care all that much? I know she was sympathetic when he was in the room but otherwise she seemed more concerned with the custody agreement and writing that kid collage essay. Their scenes together, well, I get why people think they're cute together but Its never really more than that. Jane wants him to support her but she doesn't really seem to give the same to him sometimes. Does this not say, she's with him for the support and safety he gives her but also because she doesn't need to do the same for him? Is that really a balanced relationship?

As for Petra, well.... I get that she's changed but another issue I've had with this show is the way the characters have been written this season. It's like they've tried to change who these people are overnight. It doesn't feel organic or in anyway a natural development for any of these characters to be remotely believable. I just don't know why the writers of this show think Pertra has any right to lecture Rafael in anyway. Yes, she has come further than Rafael but frankly she had a much longer journey to take in the first place. I did like how she pointed out that Rafael is always giving Jane what she wants, despite the fact that is now a problem for her and previously she said its what he should do. Contrary much?

The 1920s, well I liked the costumes and it was cute and funny and it linked into what Rogiellio is doing now. It is tending to get a bit gimmicky this season, though. I do like his relationship with Dina. I think it will be good for him and Xo to move on for a while.

I'm also slightly irritated by how they're potraying Petra's twin on this show. I get that they're trying to make fun of sterotypes and they have done a good job in the past of celebrating Latin culture on this show while adressing sterotypes, so I don't really see why they can't do the same with eastern europeans. I know they are trying to 'send-up' and make fun of these niave ideas but they have really gone over the top with the unflattering sterotypes of the Czech Republic this season and its made me think that these writers may actually think its still a communist state.

First the mad criminal Milos and the hard-faced Magda and now Aneska. Has Aneska been living in a cave since the orphanage? You'd think so based on this episode. Prague is one the most cultural, fibrant and beautiful cities in all of Europe and has a massive tourism industry, the notion that Aneska wouldn't have basic manners or a simple idea of what to do in a restaurant is perverse. She must have had a job of some kind before or how did she pay for the flight to the US? What was the 'Tzar' remark all about? I'm pretty sure they've never had a Tzar, certainly not for several centuries. They have a Presidant. God help these writers if the Czech Republic changes its name as planned.
