Yes EW seems to be the snarkiest of the magazines

Maybe, like Jennifer was pointing out, they won't want to go out this way an they'll make a POTC 4.

Who knows.

We can always hope that they will make some attempt to fix this debacle. And if they don't...we can take some snarky comfort in the fact that AWE is falling faster than the elevator in the Tower of Terror (trying to keep with the Disney theme here), and that it won't even come close to DMC's box office numbers. Thus proving, once and for all, that we were right.

Pirates of the Caribbean: Ten Years Later
Part 1 - The Return of Whatshisname

Elizabeth and her young son are strolling along the sea shore when a green flash shoots across the horizon.

Jacky: What was that mum?
Lizzie: I don’t know Jacky. But it looks like a ship is sailing this way.

A short while later the ship has laid anchor and a member of its crew sets out towards shore in a row boat. He then makes his way towards Elizabeth.

Will: Elizabeth!
Lizzie: Yes?
Will: Elizabeth! It’s me…it’s Will!
Lizzie: Will?
Will: Yes, Will.
Lizzie: I’m sorry…Will….
Will: Turner.
Lizzie: Oh! Will TURNER! I remember you.
Will: Of course you do! Elizabeth…I’m your husband.
Lizzie: Husband? Oh that’s right…we did that wedding thing during the battle that time…I’m quite certain that wasn’t legal.
Jacky: Mum…who is that man?
Will: I’m your father young man.
Jacky: My father? But my father is…

Elizabeth quickly covers her son’s mouth with her hand.

Lizzie: Jacky…why don’t you go up to the house and get some tea.
Jacky: Okay.
Will: Jacky? You named our son after Jack Sparrow?
Jack: CAPTAIN Jack Sparrow.
Lizzie: Jack!
Jack: ‘ello love. Have you seen some rum?
Will: Jack! What are you doing here??
Jack: Lizzie…who’s the eunuch?
Will: Its me…Will.
Jack: Will?
Lizzie: Will Turner.
Jack: Oh! Will TURNER! I remember you. Captain of the Flying Dutchman if I’m not mistaken.
Will: I was. But the ten years are over now. Elizabeth was faithful to me and the curse was broken.
Jack: Broken you say. And that means Lizzie was faithful?
Will: Yes, of course. There was a green flash. Didn’t you see it?
Jack: I saw the green flash…but are you sure that means that she was faithful and the curse was broken?
Will: Of course that’s what it means! Everyone says so! Elizabeth and I are going to be a family now.

Jack and Elizabeth exchange an uneasy glance.

Jack: I need a drink. Now where is that rum??

Part 2 - Where the Heart Is

Several days had passed since Will…uh…Turner arrived. The Flying Dutchman remained anchored just off shore.
Will, Elizabeth, and Jack are sitting around the table eating roast beef, Yorkshire pudding, and of course…peas. Little Jacky was fast asleep.

Jack: So Will…I notice that the Dutchman is still anchored out there. Why do you suppose that is?
Will: I don’t know. The curse is broken.
Lizzie: But the Dutchman needs a captain doesn’t it?
Will: Yes.
Lizzie: And weren’t you the captain?
Will: Yes. But the curse is broken.
Lizzie: But the Dutchman still needs a captain.
Will: Yes.
Jack: And that was you.
Will: Yes. But the curse…
Jack: The curse was broken…yes yes…you’ve told us that at least twenty times a day since you arrived.
Will: Jack, I still don’t understand what you are doing here with Elizabeth and our son.
Lizzie: I told you Phil…
Will: It’s Will.
Lizzie: Right…sorry…I told you that Gibbs has taken the Pearl to have it’s hull repaired…he should be back within a week or so.
Will: But I thought Barbossa had the Pearl.
Jack: So did Barbossa. But he made a grave error. Never trust an undead monkey.
Will: Anyway…I was thinking that tomorrow we could go and dig up my heart. What do you say Elizabeth?
Lizzie: Your heart? Yeah…that sounds like a good idea…uh…Jack…could you help me in the next room for a minute?
Jack: But my Yorkshire pudding will get cold.
Lizzie: Jack!
Jack: Fine. Oi! Whelp! Keep your hands off my Yorkshire pud while I’m gone.

Jack and Lizzie go into the next room.

Jack: So why have you dragged my away from my supper?
Lizzie: Did you hear what Will said?? He wants to find his heart tomorrow!
Jack: So?
Lizzie: So…that was ten years ago…I don’t have slightest idea where it is.
Jack: So…we put him off for a few days…Gibbs will come with the Pearl and you and I can sail off into the sunset and the Whelp can stay here with his son.
Lizzie: Jacky is YOUR son Jack. You know that!
Jack: I know. But I thought…since the guy thought the kid was his anyway…let him stay here and change the lads diapers.
Lizzie: Jacky hasn’t been in diapers in eight years Jack.
Jack: Oh…in that case the boy comes with us.
Lizzie: But what about Will?
Jack: Who?

Well, the end was disapointing for all the characters. But at least things are left wide open for Jack and Elizabeth

Yeah, I mean it may not be the ending we wanted, but frankly it's a hell of a lot better than the sad ending W/E got.
