Okay, it just got confirmed by the AP that Ocean's 13 did indeed knock out Pirates.

Pirates made 20.3 mil. The article also stated that AWE will never be able to catch DMC in domestic grosses.

Does that make you feel any better, Michelle?

But, still, I'm sad for him that he probably now has to leave Captain Jack behind.

) had control over the T7S ending, that Johnny couldn't have had some say in POTC. Come on. Or maybe he's just like Danny and isn't a bitch. And just thought that maybe the writers know best and wasn't going to make a big stink.

According to an interview with him on one of those behind the scene deals that came out before AWE he said he was "shocked" were the writers wanted to take Jack.

And yes, I think he definitely could have bitched and they probably would have changed it.

But that kind of doesn't seem like his style

Now that this has been official stated...though we all knew that it was the case...I think we should used the DMC made more money title for our next thread.

LMFAO. This is awesome.

DMC was and always will be ten times better than AWE. However, if AWE had ended with J/E, I think the domestic gross would have been pretty close to DMC.

I think I'm gonna hold out some hope on their being a POTC 4. AWE was such a royal crapfest. That ending needs to be FIXED, seriously. The Will I liked from COTBP and DMC would have been selfless and let Elizabeth go. Not burden her to such a fate that she's got to wait for him every 10 years.
