Yeah, I remember that, too. But I mean, the plots are so similar it's hard not to draw comparisons. Luke/Will we think he's going to get the girl but then he ends up with the "destiny". Too bad Lizzie can't be Will's sister

And then there's Han/Jack the space pirate/pirate who never needs anyone or anything except his freedom (oh and I guess Chewie) until he meets the feisty Princess/Governor's daughter. Anyways, yes I'm over simplifying and being snarky but you get the idea.

I do see the similiarities *nods* and it does make alot of sense
there is still no doubt in my mind that we'll be getting Sparrabeth in AWE no matter what other people might try to tell me

Great vid, Mel!! I've always liked that song for them.

And yeah, I can't believe how depressing the Sparrabeth fans are getting. Not here, but other places. Everyone's all gloom and doom and it's getting really annoying. It's like either you believe in Jack and Elizabeth or you don't and I believe in them ,dammit!!

And I know we all say it all the time but that's why I love coming here

EXACTLY People cant seem to understand that Jerry Bruckheimer CAN NOT be trusted (I've said it before so I wont get into it) and they wont give away the ending of a major motion picture within Novelizations,trailers and 3 second snippets

No one involved is going to give away the ending. That would be foolish.

We just need to take what we've seen from the film and try to peice it together. And when we do that there's only one place it keeps leading to - and that, my friends, is Sparrabeth

yes Exactly thats what i've been doing I tell my friends (and the others) to see what is going on with the Forshadowing and everything ,Way back when english was my favorite subject and I write stories myself so I know all about how things like this work I assure you (and everyone else for that matter) that just judging from the forshadowings of both movies,some subtle some not it WILL be as you said A Sparrabeth ending

The only thing that makes sense is having a JE ending. Will's gotta choose between his father or Lizzie. Remember, "I keep the promises I make, Jack. I hope you're there to see it", so we know he chooses his father. Jack may be mad at her but his actions will show how mch he cares about her, now he wants to stab the heart(apparently) and now people are meant to believe it will be him who does it but in the end, it'll be Will, NOW that's a surprise(not for us, 'cause we already know it but for others who don't know anything). At the end, Jack will like abandon his old life and, in some way, get Elizabeth.

It looks like we're not the only ones thinking that Jerry's comment was meant for both ships. Many people have implied how he said "Elizabeth would like to be with Will, and Jack, of course. ... Everybody wants to find Jack" But, like Mel said, he can't be trusted. Of course, they won't give away the ending. I was reading in a foreign mag that there was rumour about Jack and Will being rivals for Elizabeth'S heart. I was like "What rumour?! It's so obvious!" But they said that Elizabeth was probably leaning more towards the pirate since she's always wanted to be free and all, ... . Sorry, for the long post.

Jerry's comment isn't that horrible for our ship. He's right, Lizzie probably does want to be with Will, because that's what her father and everyone else would want her to do, that doesn't mean it's going to happen.It's like she knows who she should be with, but she's going to follow her heart which leads her Jack.

It's kinda like in The Notebook. She knows that she should be with Lon. and She loves him, but she loves Noah a whole heck of a lot more. So she follows her heart and chooses Noah.

I really do think that Elizabeth will either end up with Jack or alone. I just don't see there being an Will/Elizabeth ending.

Yeah, you guys all make excellent points. Of course she would want to be with Will, remember we know she's very conflicted about how she feels about Jack. But he said "wants" he dowsn't say "She will be with Will" wanting and getting are two very different things. And they way he cleverly avoided what Jack wants, well that kind of says it all don't you think?

Well, it was confirmed that she does end up with someone and sicne the Will/Elizabeth sotry doesn't make sense anymore, we'll get JE in the end.

OMG you guys, my kids got the Jack and Lizzie toy set!!! It is so cool

I'll take some pictures and post them later. But the dolls are really cool looking, so detailed. And the box has three pictures of Jack and three of Lizzie and then of course the line "Is it love or hate between Jack Sparrow and Elizabeth Swann" In the pictures I saw posted here the toys looked small, but actually the dolls are huge. They're Barbie size with real fabric clothes and everything, not plastic like on the action figures. And it was the most expensive of all the Pirates toys which is, in my crazy opinion, an excellent sign for us. It was $42.00 at Target, it was more expensive then even the Black Pearl play set.

So, they're packaged together, in the most expensive toy set available... sounds pretty good to me.
