It's weird because originally I shipped Regina/Hook because, whatever, they're both hot, and they're both too evil for anyone else around. But somehow every time the subject is mentioned...I think I'm developing shipper head about them. Every new discussion makes it more clear how perfect they are for each other. The show already has a good girl/bad boy couple in Rumbelle, and a bad girl/good boy sort-of couple in Regina/Henry (and a good girl/good boy couple in Snowing). What it needs is a bad girl/bad boy.

The basic argument against them seems to be "oh noes, they would be toxic for each other," but why is that so? If they've both been living on revenge for decades (centuries), but they both seem on the verge of giving it up--why couldn't they find something new together? There's a reason addiction recovery groups have addicts sponsor each other. I don't care if Emma thinks (for reasons I can't figure out) that she and Hook are kindred spirits; the truth is that no one will ever understand each other the way Hook and Regina do. Unless they introduce another character who has lost a lover and then spent decades living and breathing revenge about it.

Oh, and Lana Parilla is an honorary shipper. I can't find the interview right now but she said she thought Hook might be a match for Regina.
