And honestly, they fought for each other. It wasn't like two people who walked away whenever the going got tough but then somehow got back together because it was destiny. That's not how life works, you get what you earn. BL never would've happened again if Lucas didn't earn Brooke's forgiveness.

exactly, they both really tried & often had to rise above their pride/insecurities in order to even try to improve their relationship, but they both pushed themselves to go so far in terms of character development because they wanted to

one of my fave moments is actually when Lucas forgives Brooke, I mean we know he's hurt, but you can just see when he walks away he's realising how much she truly means to him and that he's willing to let go of what happened, because what they have is just so much more important then a stupid mistake she made
