Well it does me because I wanted a chance to say goodbye and I so desperately wanted an Izzie visiting George's grave scene.

She could have told him she will always miss him and carry him in his heart.

oh if they had only left George presumed dead, maybe in Afghanistan, with no positive ID on the body, he could have come back from the dead and whisked her away a la Nick and Tess (same situation, with the two actors leaving a few months apart).

They are messing it up like on Traders. Not sure if you watched but they killed this character on it because the actress was leaving and a few months after, the guy who played her boyfriend quit and they killed him too. I remember thinking i was such a waste as they could have had leave her alive and have him reunite with her.

Shows are too trigger-happy.

What bugs me the most is Izzie left all broken up about Alex, ALEX, ugh! aND THEY TRIED TO MAKE US BUY HE WAS her true love, not George or even Denny, Alex. In what galaxy?

I was seriously yelling at the TV when he walked out! Loved this scene... and if there was any ? in my mind whether or not I shipped them, then the second he walked out and tore a piece of my heart out, it became crystal clear that I shipped them hard!

My heart soared when he walked in... that's my George!

Oh that scene proved Shonda was full of bs when she said Izzie was just on the rebound and confusing friendship with love.

Izzie said it herself, she was sure in her heart that she was in love with him. There was no doubt or confusion there.

She was in love with him. AARGH! Shonda pisses me off being such a coward about it.

God, I love the scene where she tells him about Hannah. I love the hail Mary line. Then we were suppose to believe in season 5, she could go months without seeing George? Right. I was told by some that that was Izzie evolving, like her friendship with George somehow made her this childish person who wouldn't grow.

I didn't see it that way. To me, their friendship and connection brought out the very best in each other, the strongest part of them.
