I think Izzie deserves some happiness after losing Denny and I'm really committed to this storyline. I really believe in her and George. There are moments where you see them together and I'm like, 'See that's why' - because there is such pure joy for her to be around him.

Reasons why we love them

Because they dominate elevator scenes
Because they loved each other before they fell in love.
Because they're each others person.
Because there love is friendship set on fire.
Because she doesnt want him to leave.
Because we loved every minute of them being drunk.
Because we all know she lied when Izzie said she had no feelings for him.

That's a beautiful song. I agree with the parts that you bolded because I felt that their connection wasn't one to be imitated. It was uniquely theirs and there's no one else that they could love as much as they loved each other.

No she has still two episodes off, this one and one when the show comes back in January.

She has also taken a maternity leave and Shonda won't say how long or when it will start.

It seems there won't be a lot of Izzie this season.

I really wished we could have had an Izzie visiting George's grave scene last week. I hope we get one in the future.

I think it would help her so much, plus I want to see George's grave.

I wish this too. But I don't know if we'll ever get it....

The parts you highlighted in the lyrics of that song definitely fit G/I very well. He really was the one and only true love for her. And in needing to let him go, she is completely lost. Anyway, I've always felt that Izzie loves Alex on some level... I have no problem admitting that. But he's not that all-encompassing love for her... that was George.

The end of that video... when they show the scene when he catches her and helps her down the aisle... that gets me everytime. You can just see the love between them and they just fit so well together...
Anyway... I don't think I'm articulating my thoughts on that too well, but those moments between them in those few steps together are so much more powerful than her time at the altar with Alex. I mean, I see love there, but to me it's not THE love. If this makes any sense. And for George to catch her and love her enough to walk her down the aisle to another man... well, that is such an unbelievably selfless act... in my mind, it's almost equivalent to his stepping in front of that bus to save a woman.

Yes if we haven't had a grave scene yet, I doubt we will ever get one. Maybe in fanfics?

It would have been a very moving scene though.

I know. Wasn't the song just perfect for George and Izzie?

I know. That George loved her enough to give her to someone else, a man he didn't even like most of the time, it's huge. It's about the most romantic and loving thing he could do.

Oh I get you perfectly about Alex. I always thought Alex was deeply in love with her, thatshe was IT for him, but with Izzie, well like you I always believed she loved him and cared about him, but I neverbelieve he was IT for her and that her whole heart belonged to him the way her heart belonged with George.

Just watching the video while they put the AI and GI scenes in juxtaposition, she never glowed and came to life with Alex the way she did with George.

That is just me and I know the AI fans would not agree, but like Katie said, when Izzie was with George, she had such PURE joy.

With George, she was herself, she was happy and grounded. Now that he died, she seems to have lost her focus and be aiming shiftlessly.

I hope there is a scene of Izzie at George's grave. She could tell him how much she misses him and how much he means to her. I bet it'll help with the problems in her life now too.

I know. He would make ehr smile and forget about her problems for a while. Remember how he was the one who made her genuinely smile for the first time after Denny died?

He helped her survive Denny's death and he could help her again.

I keep hearing people say Izzie has changed and lost her brighteness and warmth. Well, to me, a big part of her died with George.

Did you watch the epi tonight? Most people complained about it lacking a heart, and the fact Izzie and George weren't even mentioned.

Holidays without George and Izzie feels wrong.

Izzie especially liked it so much.

I unfortunately couldn't convince my mother to give up GA and while my laptop is MIA, I'm stuck using our house computer which means I'm stuck watching GA with her. The episode sucked so bad. Izzie was mentioned when Christina called Alex Izzie's bitch and then he called Christina a bitch. That was it.

Ashley-- thanks for the quick review of the epi.
I didn't watch.

I watched Flash Forward (Red-- I'm starting to really get into it now!

) and then I saw the first 2 mins of GA where the Chief seemed like he was trying to manipulate Mer and got annoyed and was happy that made me turn it off, b/c I didn't want to be watching it anyway. I watched fringe instead.

The Chief is drinking again and everyone knows it. Meredith is in denial or whatever. The episode was mostly about what might be the beginning of the end to Christina/Owen and Mark's stupid blonde daughter.

The holidays feel wrong on GA. Without Goerge, Izzie and Burke the show feels wrong.
