I'm actually currently re-watching from the beginning. But I'm stuck on season 3 at the moment. Izzie and George just slept together for the first time.

I wish I didn't know that it's going to get worse.

Yeah, those were the hardest episodes to watch imo. I still don't understand why did they write a storyline like that in the first place. Who the hell thought it would be a good idea?

It just ruined the beautiful friendship George&Izzie had. So much that to me it was the reason why even when she had cancer, he was not there for her, i mean, not in the way he would have been in the first two seasons...

I actually just re-watched this very old video. It has almost every single scene of theirs until s6 finale. Tbh, i kept watching this video through the years, over and over again whenever i felt like missing them, i ended watching this. The memories it brings to me...

I wish it could have been updated with the new scenes though

Yeah, that's what I hated most about it too. After they broke up it always seemed like he was still into her and suffered from a broken heart. I guess it might also be due to the fact though that TR didn't really have much screentime in season 5 anyway. It just ruined their relationship as you said and since they had no intention of making them last anyway it was done purely for dramatic purpose.

I also felt really sorry for Callie. Not only did her husband cheat on her, but Izzie was also so nasty to her on top of that. Not a good look for George or Izzie. Let alone that it was very out of character and came out of the blue.

Exactly. You know, i was not dying for Denny&Izzie storyline too. They did not write his&izzie's storyline to last and it was not a great look for Izzie either. But it made sense in a way. It was in character for her of all characters to get involved this much with one of her patients,. It also made her realize where this could have lead her to, why was this so wrong... It mattered for her character development, for Alex's too. But all the George, Izzie, Callie storyline made no sense at all. And worked for nothing. It just made everything worse for George&Izzie and the show in general too. I just could not even stand watching parts of those episodes now.

I think I read an interview with Shonda once where she pretty much said the same thing that Denny needed to happen for Izzie to grow. I don't think it needed to be as extreme for the point to come across, but it was what it was. And at least those episodes were emotional. I definitely didn't need JDM to come back for season 5 though.

I managed to get to season 4 now, but I skipped episode 22 & 23 of season 3.

I really never cared for Private Practice, so figured I might as well skip them. So far season 4 is proving to be worse than I remembered though. I hope I reach episode 8 soon.
